I thought every bit of it was amazing except for the running commentary on what's happening, that really got annoying when it came to reding two lots of subtitles. The characters are amazing and I so want to take influence from Ookami Ryouko so SO bad! if only things this interesting happened in reality. Overall it was incredible and I really hope we get a season 2, that would be the best!

fake and lame.  I saw this anime in an amv.  Ive done this a couple times now, but I can safely say that the amvs make bad anime look incredible. Same with Okami-san, and her Seven little stereotypical and completely useless friends.

Well, as I said before, this anime was fake and lame.  Also, they added a commentator. . . and I wanted to strangle her the whole time.  she would pop into a conversation and completely drown it out while the characters were trying to speak.  9 times out of 10 it was when you ACTUALLY wanted to hear what the characters were saying.

Of course it was set in a high school.  Furthermore they set up everything so that its like the kids are running the show.  they have nice fancy offices and secret hideouts.  blah, its so over exaggerated its sickening.  On top of that we have one school that comes off as a bunch of thugs, all men of course, how sexist.  Then a girl in a maid outfit beats up 5 guys with a broom while they are using crowbars, more sexism and general ridiculousness.  One could also attribute this to catering to men's taste in women, not sure what the truth actually is though.

by now you think im the sexist, but watch the anime and tell me that this kind of bs is immersive in any way.  go on, ill wait.  On top of that I would rather have a badass like Annie from Attack on Titan, who ACTUALLY TRAINED to be a badass.  she wasnt a cute frilly sweeping maid, she was trained to be a hand to hand combat expert. seriously, can we stop with this stupid moe sh*t?

Now that you understand, lets move on to the bad stuff.  As I mentioned this is in high school.  Of course, and I absolutely hate this stuff, but rape came up(implied),  Im sure somewhere in the manga, the bad guy will turn around and say " muahahaha! I kissed her! muaha muahaha", but in this anime they implied rape.  I hate the idea of rape, and while I understand that it can bring tension and painful emotions in an anime, id prefer that someone just died to achieve similar effect. However, they implied rape, and it was on a character that was a first year high school student, and supposedly it occurred several years prior, which means the character wasnt even in high school yet, furthermore, they had been dating. . . . . my god, seriously? you are talking about middle schooler dating and implying that rape occurred? please stop this.  On top of that the main character professes his love in the first episode and before the target of said affection even knew he existed. wow.  this anime was bad enough without that crap.

I could go on for days about the flaws all over this one.  The light and fluffy comedy that tried to have a deep and heartfelt story.  Yeah, that was never going to work. There is a romance that will never come to fruition, so the story will never truly be 'finished' in my book. yet another one. the list goes on.

Story:  really trash, its a ridiculously simple story that tried to spice it up with terrible spins.  it is not engaging at all.  again, the main character professes his love in the first episode. hello? hello? character developement? ok well whatever then.

Animation:  quite nice, I really enjoyed some of the fluid animations. since there were some 'fighter' characters in the anime it paired pretty nicely with them.  was a huge fan of the animation.  simple bu effective

Sound:  nothing notable, the story didnt help to facilitate anything special in the music though.

Characters: again, no character development.  it was just a trashy comedy.

Overall:  it looks cool, but dont waste your time.

This is the first anime I've ever rated below 4. The main reason why, well because it is really cringy to watch. You might find watching this ok, but if you cringe easily then I wouldn't try watching it.

This review contains NO spoliers!

During my browsing for a new show, I encountered Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi. I casually watched a couple of episodes a day, over the course of the past week.

Animation:

Ookami-san's animation is very pleasent. The fight scenes are smooth and slick. Scenery and backgrounds possess a fair level of detail. The characters have some design choices I wouldn't make, but they are drawn decently. I didn't care for Ookami's overall style at all; in contrast, Hitsujikai's design is great. In-fact, the rest of the characters are all pretty damn good.  All in all it looks great.

Sound:

The OP & ED are one of the better ones in the world of anime; the OP in particular, which is Ready Go! by May'n. Ookami-san's OST doesn't do much to diminish or improve the quality of the series, it certainly is nowhere near as memorable as Gundam 00's or Fate/Stay Night's OSTs (both were done by Kenji Kawai).

Ookami-san's voice acting is top notch. The narrator, voiced by Satomi Arai of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun fame, was superb; her adding a great touch of pervy humor to make the already amusing Ookami-san even MORE amusing. Kanae Itou does a fantastic job of voicing the dark, yet adorable Ringo. Another one of the more notable voices is whoever voiced Shirou Hitsujikai; he gave a very dark and chilling performance. The rest of the cast is very good, with the lot providing fitting voice-acting.

Characters:

This anime has one of the larger casts out there. The Otogi Bank of Otogi High has many unique characters each with there own relationships; although, the show wasn't long enough to properly flesh out every character. Majo is a perfect mad scientist. Urashmia and his gentleman mode are very funny; his and Otohime's relationship is one of the better points of the anime. Ookami is a more tsun than dere tsundere, but she's still a good lead. Morino starts off as not much; although, he grows into his own later on. Ringo is a perfect gift to all you loli fans and her scheming moments are something to look forward to. In contrast, Otsuu is one of the less powerful roles in Ookami-san. I found Alice to be my favorite member of the Otogi Bank. The President is also a more interesting charactrer than others.

Outside of the Otogi bank we have Hitsujikai, who is the President of Onigashima High School. He is a very dark character and an excellent antagonist. An important point I forgot to mention up until now is how every character is based off some sort of fairy-tale or another. I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which, as it is one of the best points of the show.

Story:

Such potential gone to waste is all I can say. This show clearly required more than the 12 episode affair it recived. The best episodes where the ones where the Otogi bank was doing jobs for other people in the school. I belive that we didn't see enough of those episodes. Ookami-san is quite dissapointing in that aspect. The story touches on some very dark tones, such as rape, death, etc; this is quite surprisingly when considering the light-heartedness of the show. The story never realy fully fleshes out. Truly wasted potential. The romance is done in a pretty good way; at the very least IT does flesh out.

TLDR:

Ookami-san is too short for its own good. It is one of those shows that would greatly benefit from being longer, in both overall story and character development. This anime is very fun and balanced. It never really drags on as a series; although, the end will dissapoint you. I'm feeling like reading the manga now to see what happens. I recommend it. It's a very watchable anime.

First of all, this anime dont have a proper ending and no proper backstory about the charcters except for very few charcters

Secondly,Some episodes were really good and some episodes were really too boring and bad, especially the ones that had alot of fan service in it

Third, Also the boss fight in ep 11 werent even a real boss fight. it was like what the actual-

We also kinda needed more jealousy scenes and moments and even a love triangle in the series

Fourth, the owner of the idea of the The Otogi Bank didnt appear alot
