Puni Puni Poemy

Puni Puni Poemy

Puni Puni Poemi is a spin-off of Excel Saga, the classic lampoon of all that is anime. It takes the daughter of two Excel Saga characters and puts her through parodies of shoujo, shounen, ecchi, hentai, and everything in-between. This eccentric show is the "Scary Movie" of anime: younger viewers need not apply.

SingerOfWhiteLine SingerOfWhiteLine says...

Both series are quite short, but are packed with mahou shoujo puns to the ceiling. The humor becomes really perverted in some places, but they both are good even without it. If you liked Komugi, but want something a little tougher, watch PPP; vice versa, if you like PPP when it isn't just about breasts, watch Komugi.

Abashi Abashi says...

Both appear to be aimed at young girls, but they shouldn't be watched by small children. Both contain sex humor as well as being overly violent at times. Puni Puni Poemy contains a lot of controversial material that would make it arguably illegal. Nurse Witch Komugi appears to be for little girls, but it's clearly not.

I enjoyed Puni Puni Poemy, as well as parts of Nurse Witch Komugi. I preferred Puni Puni Poemy, being more outrageous, with less violence. I really hated the last episode of Nurse Witch Komugi, but I won't specify why.

Be expected to get offended and/or shocked by the content of these films. Surely, at least one of these series will contain something that bothers you. I was actually more bothered by Nurse Witch Komugi, despite being less 'offensive'.

Di Gi Charat

Di Gi Charat

One day, Dejiko, Puchiko and the strange ball-shaped Gema-Gema crash land their UFO in the middle of Akihabara. Without a single yen to their name they have nowhere to go, but following an unexpected and generous offer from the manager of a nearby store, the trio begin working at the shop in exchange for renting the room upstairs. Alongside Dejiko’s self-confessed rival Rabi-en-Rose, as well as a mysterious bear that has mastered the ability to appear happy, sad, depressed and angry all at once, the insanity is only just beginning! From shooting window shoppers with Dejiko’s Laser Eye Beam and the appearance of a bizarre farting impostor, to a sudden attack on the city by Godzilla, life at Gamers is certainly livening up.

Nurse Witch Komugi and Di Gi Charat are both strange little shows with cute graphics and very simple storylines. If you're looking for a light-hearted romp through the anime and gamer fandoms, it's really hard to go wrong with these two.

Suimin Suimin says...

Nurse Witch Komugi and Di Gi Charat are comedies of cat and bunny girls competing with each other over popularity, and they both even have a creepy little girl character. Both anime are pretty weird and crazy.

Excel Saga

Excel Saga

F City, F Prefecture: the battleground where good and evil have finally chosen to decide once and for all who will rule the world…or at least that's the general idea! Neither side seems up for the task, as surviving the brutality of everyday life is enough of a chore. On the side of evil is the organization of Across, its only member the loudmouthed and abrasive Excel who struggles just to put food in her stomach; on the side of good, three disenfranchised, unemployed bachelors whose only pursuit in life is romance. Add in alien invasions, jungle warfare, and Mexican immigrant laborers to Japan, and this war doesn't seem likely to be ending soon!

For those who love nutty and mad anime's.

Nurse witch komugi and excel saga both have an overexuberant main female lead, who, gets herself into hilariously random and muddled situations, in ways that'll leave you staring at your screen in either awe, or "wth??"

There is a storyline to both, for enjoyment, but the random, scatterbrained style is why I would reccomend these two for each other.

Suimin Suimin says...

Though Komugi isn't quite as insane as Excel, they're both pretty similar main characters that make for a similar anime, in that they are both zany and weird.

SoulTaker

She is the first of many relatives that he and others in the story find tied into the seeming chaos of their lives. Surprisingly, these two series have one common link - Komugi. Yes, Komugi's first appearance took place in SoulTaker, and some people watched it just for her charming pink eyes. If you're one of these people, watch a whole series dedicated to your idol; or, if you want to learn her roots and see her in an unfamiliar light, watch SoulTaker. At least you'll get more Komugi.

Now she only has to overcome her bashfulness with Kosuke and win his heart too!

Nurse Witch and Cosplay Complex both have stories that revolve around cosplay. Both the main characters aspire to be great cosplayers. Humor plays a major role in both anime and delivers without fail.

Nurse Witch has a bit more of a storyline but Cosplay Complex has more ecchi... it's a perfect trade-off!

Helping out humanity is what the characters do best in each anime. The main differences between the two is that Juuden-Chan has ecchi in it that is pretty intence where Nurse Witch Komugi has overpowering cuteness. Both will make you giggle and laugh. Check one out if you liked the other.

We all like some totally useless humour from time to time!

Well, you've got it, in angel beats and nurse witch komugi. Lots of yelling, random putting together of anything, and characters that make no sense, and do silly things!

But thats what we love about them right? Two very cute anime's, with sime funny stories, that are fun, random, but not too hard to follow!

Just your typical idol-wannabe by day, magical girl by night kind of story! Or at least it is at first glance. Both shows are hilarious deconsctructions of the “magical girl” genre, starring cute girls who just want to make it big as idols, while hopefully winning over their love interests along the way. If you’re tired of the typical magical girl story, then give this story a try. You certainly won’t be bored.
