Both of the anime's main character can see demons, unlike the other characters in the series. There is a lot of action, comedy, and adventures in both anime. So if you like one you'd like the other.

Yu Yu Hakusho is also dealing with human and yokai relations. Although Yu Yu Hakusho also has tournaments. The main charactor is also having to grow stronger to be able to protect people, although instead of a nice guy he is a likable punk.

Both anime center around yokai and both deal heavily with onmyouji, too. Shounen Onmyouji and Nurarihyon no Mago both have young boys (13-ish years old) who use their powers to fight demons in order to live up to their grandfather's standards. The only difference is that in Nurarihyon, the protagonist is trying to become a great yokai leader and in Shounen Onmyouji the main character is training to become the next greatest onmyouji. In Nurarihyon the grandfather is the Lord of Pandemonium; in Shounen Onmyouji the grandfather is the great Abe no Seimei. Both have fight scenes, though Nurarihyon does have a lot more, and both center on characters that see and interact with demons.
