They're pretty much similar although totally different, but the theme is more less the same.
Both shows focus mainly on war, however NC focuses on feudal Japan, and LMaV focuses on breasts. Both shows are entertaining and share the war theme.
I'd say Lord Marksman is far more brutal though.

They have a very similar kind of story-line. Both are large-army warring states type shows... In Lord Marksman and Vanadis there are dragons and magical powers and the hero Tigre gains power from a goddess and a family heirloom bow, but in Nobunaga Concerto, the hero (Saburo/Oda Nobunaga) drops out of the sky after being transported back in time somehow and has knowledge of the future. Both are really cool.
