This Ugly Yet Beautiful World

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World

One day a light descends from the sky and splits into the ideal girls of Takeru and Ryou. That is where this gentle and vaguely romantic story about our ugly and beautiful world begins. Soon enough the story plummets into the secrets of global extinction and the meaning of life. Everything in this world that is beautiful has something ugly in it, and that ugliness is part of the secret of its beauty. Even for romance this is true...

Neo Ranga and Kono Mini are a good match for each other because they are both about how to live in this world. In each of these shows extraudinary events make the characters lives extraudinary. Despite this impetus, the characters are more interested in the normal things of this world than in the cataclysmic events that they are caught up in. Neo Ranga is more action oriented while Kono Mini is more romantic and comedic, but both of them are very analytical about the nature of this world while focusing on a slice of life storyline.

Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars

Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars

In the year 2070, a giant object appears over the skies of the small town Tenmo, scrambling the electrical grid and confirming the existence of extra terrestrial life. To young Hajime Morata, this news is exciting and new - but to the townspeople, school council members and even the new exchange student Muryou Subaru, nothing going on in the skies is out of the ordinary. For it seems that Earth houses both intergalactic ambassadors and planet defenders alike - at least one of whom can use the power of the giant Shingu to battle incoming invaders - and Hajime is somehow connected. In addition to helping plan school festivals and living his day to day life, Hajime slowly begins to discover the secret behind his town and himself.

Both series have a God at it's center and involve spitural and supernatural elements. But both focus less on action (though both have it) and more on the drama that these Gods have on society. This means we get all sorts of genre's covered across both shows like Political Drama, Thriller, Slice of Life and occasional Comedy.

Both shows have a large array of characters playing both large and minor roles throughout yet all connected to this one town and this God.

I'd frankly be amazed that If you liked one then you wouldn't like the other.

Koukyoushihen: Eureka Seven - Hi-Evolution 1

Koukyoushihen: Eureka Seven - Hi-Evolution 1

The films will follow The First Summer of Love phenomenon that occurred a decade before the first Eureka Seven series. The anime franchise thus far has hinted at, but never depicted in full, "the beginning of it all." The films will then have the same basic story as the first Eureka Seven series, but will have an original ending. It will have completely re-recorded lines, redone footage, and new scenes.
