Neko Neko Fantasia - Reviews

Found this when I was searching for anime Christmas specials to watch during the month of December, and this one stuck out as one of the few for being a stand alone OVA unrelated to an anime (though it is based on a manga).

The premise is simple; an adorable little kitten named "Shiro" gets magically turned into a small child from making a wish to the moon on Christmas, and hijinks ensues. 

The main character Shiro absolutely makes this. Whether she's a cat or a child she is one of the cutest characters I've ever seen (thus making this one of the cutest specials I've ever seen). Her innocenc, energy, and affection for her family make her a delight to watch. The rest of the characters are okay and are nothing to write home about, but it's still fun to see Shiro interact with them regardless. 

All in all, this is a simple but adorable and heart warming OVA to watch that puts you in that happy mood around the holidays, and this is one I wouldn't mind watching again every year.
