Take the story of a blonde "loser kid" who turns out to be the chosen one, praised for his honor and carefree friendliness, able to make a friend out of just about anyone, and you have the main characters of both Naruto and MÄR. Add in an emo kid voiced by Yuri Lowenthall (complete with a cursed tattoo linking him to the bad guy) and an annoying pink haired girl, and you're on the money.

The plots are also relatively similar, with an evil, semi-immortal warlord ready to plung the world into chaos, tournaments for the fate of the world, and so forth. Both shows are frequently emotional, and feature grand, rallying speeches and magical hijinx, just replace ÄRM with hand signs, or vice versa.

He's a professional ballroom dancer. And once Tatara Fujita gets pulled into the world of the ballroom, his life will never be the same.

Though genres are quite different both anime has a main character that's weak at the start, but then he meets that someone special who keeps helping MC on his way.  Nice character development, action, very engaging story.  Great animation and soundtracks.

The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins

The kingdom of Liones is thrown into turmoil when the king's Holy Knights are corrupted by a distinctly unholy demonic power. The land's only hope is a band of powerful warriors known as The Seven Deadly Sins - an exiled group of oddballs who seem to spend as much time fighting each other as they do fighting their enemies. Princess Elizabeth desperately seeks their aid, but the leader of her would-be saviors turns out to be an undersized pervert with a broken blade and a talking pig! They are soon joined by a jealous giant, a fussy fairy, and an immortal bandit pining over his lost love. Can these people really be the legendary heroes she's looking for?

Both shows are shounen anime that follow a large cast of characters. Main characters have special powers or abilities that they use to fight battles and accomplish quests. Both stories are a mix of epic battle scenes, emotional moments, comedy, and some romance.
