While Naruto might seem at times to serve appetizer-like episodes with its snail-like pacing, King of Bandits Jing delivers a full seven-course dinner of action and comedy with each episode -- and sometimes even manages to hit upon a poignant moment or two. Fans of Naruto's little stories will dig Jing, and fans of Jing's action will dig Naruto.

Iahel Iahel says...

Jing sometimes looks smarter than Naruto, but his adventures are similar to Naruto's. If you like series concerning a young hero defeating (or try to defeat) enemies with comic elements, it's your choice. Without a common plot, Jing is more like Naruto's filler episodes, but that's not a bad thing.

If you enjoy the action aspect of Naruto this is a perfect anime for your tastes...and there isn't those useless 15 minute talks that lead up to the next episode either...

S-CRY-ed is perfect for the Naruto viewer who doesn't mind watching something a bit old. The main characters are just as determined as Naruto to fulfill a destiny and are always willing to kick some ass to get there. S-CRY-ed is sure to please.

hitokiri hitokiri says...

Naruto and Ranma 1/2 are similar in that both are "fighting" series that have lots of comedy as well. Ranma is generally more silly than Naruto, though. And one has to wonder "Would Naruto's sexy no jutsu work on someone like Ranma?"

helixcs helixcs says...

Naruto and Ranma 1/2 are both martial arts-based with magical twists; deal with school, learning, and fighting; and almost complement each other. Although Ranma 1/2 is milder, Naruto is a refreshing burst of maturity, and Ranma is a childish reminder of carefree days. Anyone who likes one will be addicted instantly to the other.

Main character, Shindou Hikaru, approximately the same age as Naruto. Similar plot formula, also has fun music. I really liked Naruto's tribal-ish music - HnG doesn't have tribal music, but it has an excellent character all its own. If you liked Naruto, you'll probably like HnG too.

Although these two don't seem to have much in common, there are few things that would make me think you'll like them both. First: even though nothing ever seems to happen in either of these series, these both have a great addictive effect to watcher, mostly because second: these both are stories about struggling and competiting to find one's own place in the world. The third reason is that in Naruto and Hikaru No Go the great part of pleasure comes from seeing how the characters develop during the series.

If you are a die hard ninja fan, you'd like Naruto and Ninja Scroll. I suggest these to any anime fan who likes ninjas!

Foop Foop says...

Naruto and Ninja Scroll are both about ninjas. Ninja Scroll is a bit more serious than Naruto but if you are the kind of person who loves ninja fight scenes, like the ones in Naruto, this is a great movie for you. It has lots of violence, and lots of ninjas.

Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo is all about style, from the dj-style scratching scene changes to the hip-hop-inspired soundtrack to the eclectic character design. Mugen's fighting style is a funky meld of capoeira and limb-cutting, and Jin is the dramatic foil; he is all steel and old-school samurai style. What binds them together is the desire to test each other's abilities, and a promise to a girl named Fuu: to find the samurai that smells of sunflowers, who plays a pivotal role in her past. Together they travel through edo-era Japan, finding battle and comedy wherever they stop.

Jin and Mugen aren't ninjas, but they are samurai. If you like the rivalry between Sasuke and Naruto, then you'll enjoy that kind of relationship between these guys. Fuu is a little more dominant in this than Sakura would be. And if you like the battles in Naruto, you'll enjoy the fight scenes in Samurai Champloo.

zolfeK zolfeK says...

Naruto and Samurai Champloo both revolve around a team of three members. The personalities are very similar with the exception that Samurai Champloo is an anime that tackles darker issues and therefore has darker characters. Naruto and Mugen are both crass characters with a very loose fighting style compared to Sasuke and Jin who are both reserved characters who build their fighting style with training from proper instructors. Sakura and Fuu have common traits in that they both help the other members of their party when they can, but often end up getting in the way.

Both Kekkaishi and Naruto are about superpowers, and both have a progressive, manga-lead plot with viable enemies throughout. The main male character in each series is one that burdens himself with the troubles of others, which provides his motivation for improving his skills.

poetax poetax says...

They both share the same traits of a shonen anime. The main characters both start out in similar situations of being the underrated weakling, and discovering a vast amount of power within themselves. Each series contains a great deal of battling between two parties. If you like Naruto, you will be sure to like Kekkaishi as well

Naruto and Ikkitousen are both very good anime that focus on fighting. If you are the kind of person who likes fighting anime, you should see both of these anime.

Diadera Diadera says...

Naruto and Ikkitousen shares many things, especially the fact that both lead roles of the animes have a monster inside of them they need to find a way to live with or destroy.

They both experience situations where they can't control their inner beast and do things like hurting the ones they care about, without having any recollection at all of what happened when their own soul takes over the body again.

Both animes takes place where fighting and honing your skills in fighting are as natural as breathing.

They are both full of humour and are sure to make you laugh at some point.

If you liked one you will surely like the other.

I think you will like this anime because it has the same sort of well rounded entertaining plot. Both have action and both have comedy. Both seem to lack romance but still have it slightly hinted at parts, although nothing ever comes of it. The graphicz and style is much the same and both are spectacular animes!

Both mix a bit of humor with some serious issues about coming of age. The magical components are modest, so the story is mostly about the characters, as it should be. The setting is recognizable, but just different enough from the here-and-now to have a fresh, interesting appeal.

They bothe have comic relief main characters, they are filled with action and there's an aspect of each that is unrealistic.
