Hiruko now needs just one more jutsu to become the ultimate immortal ninja – and his final target is Kakashi! Sensing the immense threat Hiruko poses, the copy ninja decides to sacrifice himself and become an outcast for the sake of the village. Naruto and Sakura refuse to accept his decision and immediately chase after him, but can they defeat Hiruko and save their leader within the two-day time limit, especially when Shikamaru and the others are sent to stop them and bring them back home?

Later at the hospital, Shinou's young pupil, Amaru, bursts in looking for him to help, as her own village has also been attacked. Now, while a four-man cell is counterattacking the enemy's base, Naruto, Sakura and Hinata are accompanying Shinou and Amaru to her village so they can help. As the Sky Country attempts to start another great war and bring the world into despair Naruto will have to try and stop them himself. With the power of dark chakra at the Sky Country's disposal, Naruto is faced with a powerful and dangerous enemy; though all is not lost, especially when help arrives from a most unexpected source...

Meanwhile, Sasuke, who’s been on a mission in another dimension, appears before Naruto to warn of a strange impending danger. Shrouded with an evil aura, Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear and attempt to assassinate Naruto. Petrified, Boruto is shielded by Naruto, only for him to disappear in front of Boruto’s eyes.

However, he will first have to recover his body from where it was sealed by the priestess Miroku. The only threat to his plans is Miroku’s daughter Shion, the only one with the power to stop him – and it will be up to Naruto, Sakura, Lee and Neji to escort her safely to once more seal Mouryou's soul. However, things won't be easy for Naruto and the gang: Mouryou has control over an unstoppable ghost army and has sent four ninjas to kill Shion; even more alarming is Shion’s newest vision of an impending death… which involves Naruto himself.
