Both shows are classroom growth based shows that really show off the full cast of characters in a fun but also in a "aim to be the best they can be" kind of a way. No single classroom member is really neglected in either show, which makes it all the more fun when action happens in both shows.
They have the same vibe, same comedy, and has supernatural people, with the main character feeling incredibly useless.
I agree! I enjoyed both of these anime and I think if you liked one, then you would like the other :)

They are both hero anime's, both anime's have amazing super powers and you are drawn in by the characters. MHA and OPM both have amazing animations and fight seems are drawn perfectly. You will love OMP as comic relief after watching the always at the edge of your seat that is MHA.
My Hero Academia follows the same vein of throwing as many super-powered characters against each other as possible, but unlike OPM you get to experience Deku's rise to being a superhero. He doesn't have a three minute prolouge in the first episode of the first season, he has the entire season, and this entire season, and he still isn't there yet. If you enjoy intense super-powered fight scenes then this anime is for you.
Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special training,” he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed...

Both shows have a hero killer While my hero seems to have a reason behind theirs, one punch seems like they are evil to be evil.
if you're seeking something that has an underdog to overly powered main character than look no further than these two. where there's a blurred line between heroes and villains sometimes, where a character can be both, or simply bored. you won't be disappointed with them.
