Reasons you might like Love Live! School Idol Project...

Starra Starra says...

Both series are about idols trying to make themselves known, although Love Live! is focused on idols trying to save their school and Ongaku Shoujo is focused on idols trying to make a name for themselves in showbiz.

The protagonists of each series (Honoka and Hanako respectively) are somewhat similar characters too: pure-hearted, somewhat slow on the uptake and more determined than anybody else to make their group succeed. Hanako, however, isn't an idol herself, which is one of the main differences between the series.
