Overwhelming power and a good story. I want to see more of this guy not for the power, he smart and knows how to deal with the problems.

Isekai? Or just a video game that goes wrong?

This is the most realistic, admit it, if you were there you will not survive. They do not have any idea how they got there or at least memories. They don't have an overwhelming power or incredible skill and they have to survive in this new world. If you screw it up you will be dead.

These two anime have similar conceptions, both are isekai when mc die in road accident and both's mc are overpowered af. Personally I think Mushoku Tensei is a little bit funnier but it's just my opinion.

Leaving the people of Yggdrasil to wonder who exactly is trapped with who?

I can't help but think of these anime as a pair. Both feature overpowered main characters with questionable (at least) moral fiber. Both contain moments that seem like they were written by a horny teenager. And yet both shows were entertaining in their own right and were interesting enough that I couldn't stop watching once I started.

The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

Shingo Ichinomiya, a 25-year-old man working at a firm company, while thinking of tomorrow's busy working day, goes to sleep. However, when he woke up, he found himself in a room unknown to him and realized that he is inside a 6-years-old body, taking over his body and mind. He soon learns from the memories of the boy that the boy was born as the youngest child of a poor noble family living in a back country. Having no administrative skill, he can't do anything to manage the vast land his family has. Fortunately, he is blessed with a very rare talent, the talent of magic. Unfortunately, while his talent could bring prosperity to his family, in his situation it only brought disaster. This is the story of the boy, Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister, opening his own path in a harsh world.

Both of these shows feature MCs who find themselves young again in a different world filled with magic.

Both are very powerful mages born into branch families who while powerful in name do not have the means to set the MCs up for life like other nobles, forcing them to fend for themselves.

What sets both of these series apart from other common Harem/Isekai shows is a stronger story that is balances the comedy/ecchi aspects of the shows well with more serious matters, so neither feels like a show purely dedicated to fanservice.

If you liked one, you will definitely enjoy the other.

They both have characters that we get to see receive a second chance in life, but in drastically different scenarios. Mushoku requires a more seasoned anime watcher to get into since it involves magic and a lot of adult content. On the other hand Bokutachi is much more lighthearted, yet powerful piece that makes your heart throb. I highly recommend both, but watch at your own digression, they are pretty different content-wise

Both are Isekai with strong male lead characters with a main female companion. Both have established a big world with a longer anime trajectory than many isekai anime.

Mushoku Tensei is the better anime in almost every way that matters except for one - it has some age-gap sexual content that will make some uncomfortable. That said, The Rising of the Shield Hero is no slouch. It's a quality anime worthy of any Isekai fan's time - especially if you like ones that are more mature in their story-telling and subject matter.
