Firstly, can I just say it was really difficult to find anywhere to watch this anime which is why I suppose I'm the only one so far to write a review on it for this site. The version I had to watch was in unfortunately low quality which was a shame because I couldn't see all the gorgeous animation despite knowing it was there.  Aside from that, I thought it was brilliant.  As a short film from Studio Ghibli you already expect the music, animation and creativity to be above and beyond your average anime and as a short film it really hits each of those on the mark. It's packed full of imagination and magic, giving you the Ghibli serotonin boost that childhood films like Ponyo and Totoro do. The music played a big roll in the story as there was no actual dialogue spoken which makes it perfect for children of around 5 years and older. I would definately show it to my kids if there was a better version I could find with the full animation being properly displayed. That's pretty much all there is to it!
