This is a show that tends to mix human monster fesitish with medical. I watched it mostly because I thought it was going to go somewhere since it kept looking like it was. But it seemed to flat out refused to be anything other than some dude having monster girls fall for him and in some cases try to bang him. They used the medical part of it as oh you made me better, and now I love you. So it makes no sense because shouldn't all of them seen a doctor before?

Some of them like the dragon 100% flip and goes well out of charater after.

Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this unless you're trying to kill some time. It doesn't look like it will go anywhere.

Monster Girl Doctor, or Monster Musume no Oishasan, is...pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. It's about a human man living in a world full of monster people who makes his living by treating their various illnesses.

Unfortunately, the premise of the show is much better than its actual execution. If you're looking for an overarching plot, you're out of luck until the last four or five episodes. Before that, each one is more or less standalone, focusing on one type of monster girl in each episode.

Yes, monster GIRL. Although I'm certain the monster guys get sick/injured just as often as the monster girls do, it seems that this particular doctor specializes in females, because...reasons.

Interestingly, the monster girls are quite human in appearance, with a few monster traits, such as gills, animal ears, snake tails, etc, while the men are much more monster-looking.

Let's not mince words, here; this show is all about the fanservice. Within two minutes of the first episode, the main character (don't worry about his name. None of their names are really important, and quite a few are difficult to remember on top of that) is shown fondling a minotaur girl's breasts. There's at least one ecchi scene in every episode, complete with the girls blushing and moaning or making other very erotic noises.

There's also gratuitous amounts of CG, which are often quite jarring when they appear, since it's difficult to merge CG and traditionally drawn art, and this show is not the best representation of particularly good CG.

The characters are rather forgettable, so I won't go into much detail about them. The main character is your typical bland male protagonist. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.

The only female of any note is his assistant, the lamia Saphentite. She's supposed to be a nurse, but most of her personality is getting jealous when her boss so much as LOOKS at another female. Which might sound a bit strange, considering he exclusively treats girls... Don't worry about that too much, though.

The art is decent; nothing groundbreaking, but not extremely bland, either, and I will admit that the designs of some of the monster girls are quite creative.

All in all, it's okay to watch if you're looking for a way to waste time, but I guarantee you, there are better things out there.

After reviewing the epsidoes I dedcided to update this review I still think this is a good anime and I recommend watching it but there are flaws that i have noticed mostly just in the plot

I enjoy many characters like saphhee and tisalia(I probally spelt them wrong) but i did not like how they completely changed lady skadis personality that's my only complaint for characters

The sound fine no complaints but nothing extraordinary

The plot is interesting if your still reading this i will say if you came to this anime for the fantasy part I suggest going to another anime but if you came for the romance part then you will enjoy this anime im sure thaf if there is a second season they will focus a little more on the fantasy part also i did not like how they spent little time on the medical practices that dr glenn and saphhee used and how some episodes focused a little to much on characters introductions but I think if there is a season 2(hopefully) that the plot will become more balanced

The animation is very good I liked the character designs and im not just saying that because theres alot of waifu characters designing monster characters is somewhat unique and deserves praise same for the people in monster musume which I recommend if you enjoyed this anime or dident hate it if you hated this anime probally want to avoid monster musume

So overall this is a good anime and I recommend it but it still has flaws in the plot and will not gain the interest of everyone

I like the fact that the protagonist "earn" all the ecchi/love from the monster gilrs using his medical skills and being nice
