in both series the main characters (ichigo- bleach Akira - MF) are suddenly dragged into a world they don't know where they are dragged to fight with horrible monsters in order to save their friends and all humans. Great fights and very funny scenes with a lot of action and great twists. All characters have a great friendship beetween them. You'll surely like one if you liked the other.

LovelyWickedDescet LovelyWickedDescet says...

Both the series contain supernatural enomanies, that both main characters must battle to protect the world from. Both the main characters (Akira and Ichigo) meet a mysterious and strange person one day fallowing afterwards an event that transforms them, and that will change them and the world as they see forever.

karcik karcik says...

In both series, main character meets a strange person, obtains superpowers, discovers that there is another, "magical" part of our world and has to fight with weird monsters.

Except for the plot similarities, in each there is also a lot of humour, so I'm sure like them both ;)

funtoo2 funtoo2 says...

In both animes, the main character is in a life or death situation and unknowingly becomes not human. They are now stuck in keeping the world in balance. And have help from their friends who have obtained unique powers even though they're human. Both animes are action and comedy. And I recommend both!

anosora anosora says...

They are both supernatural and shounen styled. Their auras and story line are very different, but Bleach is really good. I'm sure you'll get hooked.

Both anime are shounen-ai and contain a mix of action, comedy, drama, and fantasy.  They also have the same director.  If you like one, you will probably like the other.

The animes are very simmilar in terms of plot, e.g. the necessity of relationship to fight bad guys.

homakp homakp says...

the opening is so same

the stuff are also same

and i feel so many similarities in the way both stories are picturized.

though, the plot of MF is not as strong and mysterious as Loveless. yet both character designs are equally strong.

Both anime have the similarity where the characters fight in a pair, the one character gives the other character powers. They both are fantasy, action shows, with shounen-ai tendencies.

both main characters are dragged into a dangerous world they don't know, while nabari no ou is about ninjas and MF about evil spirits they both share the friendship beetween the characters and how they protect each other. In both animes there are also two sides, the "good guys" and the "bad guys", and they are constantly fighting each other. Great action, humor and drama, you'll pretty sure like one if you liked the other.

homakp homakp says...

there are a lot of similarities, in case of characters and story line.

the difference is i think MF characters and design are a bit stronger, specially for Shirogane.but then Yoite also has a pleasantly complicated character.

if you liked MF, i'm 80% sure that you'll like NNO, but if you liked NNO, i'm 99% sure that you'll like MF!

finally, both have something in common: a strong ending (in my opinion) which made me forget the whole series and watch the last episode again and again^^

Monochrome Factor, and Nabari No Ou have some similarities. They both have to do with there being "Separate" worlds, where the characters try to keep balance in the world. What I find the most similar, is actually the characters. • The main character is rather nonchalant about most situations, as well as stubborn. Both main characters wish for a different life, which is funny as Akira wants an exciting life, while Miharu wants a boring life.

• The older, mentor type character who is rather protective.

• Aya, and Raimei are both hot-headed swordswomen, who are rather protective of the hero.

• The group consists of four key members, three kids, one being a girl, and the adult.

• Both anime have shounen-ai, or slight shounen-ai tendencies.

VVV and MF are supernatural tales with demons and people with superpowers; however, they are also both relatively boring. I strongly preferred VVV to MF, not only for subject matter but also for appearance. Regardless, if you liked one, you may enjoy the other.

Nocturnalgloria Nocturnalgloria says...

Venus Versus Virus and Monochrome Factor follow the same pattern: normal student becomes empowered and fights supernatural creatures with the help with a team. The fact that these monsters possess human victims and that they are unseen by normal humans only adds more to the similarity between these titles. Venus Versus Virus is mostly a serious anime with female leads while Monochrome Factor is heavy on the comedy and with bishies galore.

Bleach09 Bleach09 says...

Fighting in worlds other than their own is one aspect that makes these two anime so similar.  One day the main characters suddenly find themselves running for their life in an alternate dimension but eventually come back.  Also the characters find out the truth about themselves, but it's nothing that they would have ever thought of.  These aspects make them all the more exciting and suspenseful.

Akunen Akunen says...

Monochrome Factor and 11eyes have similarities in the battle aspect: monsters from another world are attacking, and the characters have their own special item that allows them to fight these monsters. The plot in 11eyes is heavier than that of Monochrome Factor, but you just might like one if you liked the other.

Both of these stories revolve around a seemingly normal boy teenager. Both are confronted with a strange man. While the enconters are very different, both leave lasting impressions on the main male. Both of the strange men are protention love interests for the main male charater. Both the shows also involve the main characters fighting deamons that invade the darkness of people's hearts. Both also involve a shocking revelation about a friend of the main male. Both the main characters also find out that they have special powers that they were unaware of. While Monochrome Factor is less serious than Uragiri was Boku no Namae o Shitteiru both are very similar in their natures.

Both of the main story lines revolve around high school age boys who are leading seemingly normal lives until they're pulled into a world of darkness that they don't quite understand. Both are confronted with the fact that they have powers or will come into supernatural powers, both for similar reasons that I won't state so I don't ruin the plot. Both also have protectors/partners- Zess for Yuki and Shirogane for Akira- and fight alongside their friends. I think that if you liked one, you will probably like the other.

Kakkou, SEPA's top agent, has been sent undercover to track down a high school student; but he didn't realize he'd meet and fall for the lovely Shiika instead...

Mushiuta and Monochrome Factor have a remarkably similar feel; they are supernatural tales filled with demons and boring dialogue - and MF adds an absurd amount of chibis to the mix. Not to mention, the strange caterpillar shadow shows up in both anime! I hated both of these, but if you liked one you'd like the other.
