This anime is recommended if you like completely over the top (and fairly funny) reactions to dishes.
Now i've only seen one or two episodes of Mister Ajikko but I feel these 2 anime fit very well together. Both main leads wish to be known as the best of their type of cooking in japan and both are pretty funny. (Yakitate Japan slightly more so because of the parody aspect). If you liked one try out the other.
Move over, Iron Chefs! Youichi and Azuma Kazuma are here to show you how it's done. These two shows have so much in common that I can't help but suspect that the masterful Yakitate!! Japan was inspired by the earlier and simpler Mister Ajikko. If the idea of steely-eyed combatants pitting their culinary skills against one another strikes your funny bone, then give these shows a whirl.
