So this anime has been on my "want to watch" list for a while and I was hoping I would like it. It's a reverse harem and romance anime, two of my absolute favorite types. However, I didn't expect to like it this much. I ended up a sobbing mess at the end and basically had a panic attack. As a side note, I just couldn't stop watching and finished this in one day. I absolutely loved the animation of this, V1 Studio really does a wonderful job of animating. I'm not sure if I'm good at rating animes since I just end up loving it no matter what, but I'll try my best. Story The story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I was hooked from the beginning, and throughout the story, it kept me interested. I felt frustrated, happy, sad, and angry all during these 12 episodes. I can't find anything wrong regarding the plot, really. I didn't find anything overly unreasonable or crazy. I loved the suspense at the end where we're waiting in anticipation what Mei will decide to do. I was personally saddened by the ending, but I feel like it's the best ending we can get. The ending doesn't leave us with a completely closed book or concrete ending but instead leaves it open as if more is to come. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the story. Animation Honestly, there's nothing wrong about the animation. Literally. Nothing. I loved the cute chibi moments, they were adorable. The characters and scenery were animated beautifully. V1 Studios really is amazing. Sound The voices excited me so much. Whenever a new character was introduced, I would be overwhelmed with happiness because they all had such "ikemen" voices. All of the characters had such fitting seiyuus, and I wasn't disappointed with a single one. The music was wonderful. The jazzy-type opening was one of the factors that hooked me to this during the beginning. It's definitely going on my playlist after this. Characters I have but one word to explain my reactions to all the characters: fangirl. I squealed so loudly during this anime, my voice probably went up five octaves whenever a new character was introduced. I can't really pick a favorite, they're all wonderful characters it's Shunsou shhhh. I fell in love with the character designs of all of them. The voices match their personality and appearance wonderfully. One thing I will say. After finishing the anime, I wish we saw more about Charlie. He's such a mysterious character and I really would like to learn more about him. In fact, I would like to see more about the past of the main characters. Other than that, the characters didn't fail to please me.
This is a harem and the protagonist has a very silly personality. The male leads all have very distinct personalities which come together in a great way. Considering this is based on an otome game makes one want to play it as the female lead and capture their hearts to learn more about them. The ending of the anime was sad thoughh, I will admit that.
I enjoyed this anime quite a lot. The concept was pretty cool, the animation was lovely and all the characters were just so charming! I especially loved the opening; the jazz style really did wonders for me. Though, I did have a few problems with it. The first is that I didn’t really see any character development when it can to Mei. Sure, they said that she had learned things; however, I did not see it that way. The premise was that she was lonely and didn’t have any friends, I thought the creators could have used this to develop her rather than her just being the same throughout the whole of it. Another problem I had which to be fair is only minor and doesn’t bother me all that much is the fact that there was a guy in the opening that had only been in what? 2 episodes? I suppose it’s because he’s an option in the otome game, I just thought that he would be in it more. I think the final thing that rattled me a bit was the fact that we didn’t learn the reason behind why Otojirou was doing what he was doing. I was really intrigued to know but we never found out. Now, that ending was alright. I definitely expected much more. I felt like it kind of came out of nowhere, it didn’t feel true to the character and it just didn’t give me the kind of closure I wanted after watching this. However, despite all these negatives I listed, I really did have a fantastic time watching this. All the characters were so charming and lovable, that was the key element that made this so great. As a final note, I’d like to say that I was routing for Syunso much more than I was Ougai.
