Mayo Chiki is generally a great anime, I loved the way the characters bonded and how they acted together as the anime progressed. Of course this anime has lots of ecchi and nudity, some people like this factor, others dont or either dont really give much thought to it. It's pretty good, it's one of the romance animes where two or more characters like each other but through long & drawn out episodes they slowly get closer, along with getting closer to those around them. I myself loved the anime, especailly the animation involved.

Although, there is one thing I hated, the anime ends... with a FUCKING filler episode. You heard me, a,,, damn,,, filler. This is the only negativity I pertrieved from it but, it raged me, lol.

Anyways, if you're a fan of romance, comedy, and deep emotional friendship relations bonding, this anime is amazing for you.

Overall this series is a very light hearted anime with no real twists or turns but instead a heart warming, funny and perverted story. I especially liked the characters. The story at first can intimidate a heterosexual guy like me but it actually diverged from my initial expectations it was quite interesting and often kept me entertained.

If you enjoy such series as Kiss x sis or most ecchi/romances, I think you would enjoy this.

Title: "Mayo Chiki!" - A Light Romantic Comedy with a Twist and an Abrupt Ending

Story (4/10): I found "Mayo Chiki!" to be an anime that revolves around the life of Jiro, a high school boy who stumbles upon the secret that Subaru, the popular and seemingly perfect student, is actually a girl. The show combines elements of romantic comedy with the added twist of a hidden identity. While the premise intrigued me and set the stage for humor and romantic tension, the plot often fell into predictable and formulaic patterns. It occasionally relied on clichés but still managed to deliver some entertaining moments. However, it's worth noting that the series ended rather abruptly, leaving several loose ends and unanswered questions.

Animation (6/10): In terms of animation quality, "Mayo Chiki!" featured decent visuals with clean and colorful aesthetics, which are typical of many romantic comedies. I appreciated the appealing character designs and how well the animation conveyed the characters' expressions, enhancing comedic scenes. While it didn't push the boundaries of animation, it maintained a consistent and pleasant look throughout.

Sound (6/10): The soundtrack and sound effects served their purpose in enhancing the comedic and romantic aspects of the series. Although not particularly memorable, they provided an adequate backdrop for the various moments in the story. Voice acting performances were well-done and contributed to the personalities of the characters.

Characters (4/10): The characters in "Mayo Chiki!" presented a mixed bag for me. Jiro, Subaru, and other main characters had their unique quirks and backstories, but they often fell into familiar character archetypes. The supporting cast, while diverse, lacked significant depth. I felt that more substantial character development could have made the series more engaging and memorable.

Overall (4/10): Overall, I would describe "Mayo Chiki!" as a lighthearted romantic comedy that added a twist to the genre with its gender-bending premise. It offered moments of humor, romance, and some enjoyable character interactions. However, it struggled with predictability and didn't fully explore its potential. My overall score of 4/10 reflects my assessment that, while it had its moments, "Mayo Chiki!" didn't stand out significantly within the genre. The abrupt ending left me wanting more closure and development, which impacted the overall viewing experience. If you're a fan of romantic comedies and don't mind some familiar tropes, it might provide some entertainment, but be prepared for an ending that leaves much to be desired.
