Mahou Shoujo? Naria Girls

So far, we have one other review with just says that it looks bad. Well, I'm going to go into more depth than that. So, for a start, I can handle cheap animation if the story, characters, or music, or something else is good, but this doesn't seem to have any of them. Mind you, I only watched one episode, but 2 minutes in, it began to feel like a chore to finish it. So, the animation isn't just that CGI stuff, but it occasionally switches over to still shots where it is drawn. The contrast is really jaring, and they manage to spend an entire 20 seconds on a still frame that was unnecessary. Characters walk into each other. They have 2 minutes of dialogue where the characters just sort of sway back and forth so that it isn't a still shot. This brings us to sound quality. You know how people sort of talk all over each other and don't think much about what they say IRL? Well, that works because there is no plot. Which I guess is the effect that they wanted here? I don't know. The dialogue runs quickly and almost over the top of each other, and I couldn't tell who was saying what. I don't think blondie ever spoke. It sounds like a real life conversation. That would be a good thing if this was real life, but it doesn't quite work in anime. Their entire dialoge and interactions are the sort of thing you have going on in the background of whats really going on when you have a good movie. Characters are supposed to be magical girls, but they transform into.... THEMSELVES!!!! wooo! such plot twist and imagination. They turn white for a bit, then look the same. Oh, and occasionally they have a sound like a mackerel hitting someone in the face, and all of a sudden they change moood. A flashback maybe? I couldn't tell what it was. If a picture is worth a thousand words (This is a motion picture) this one would be worth "Fuck this shit" x 333 + and extra fuck

this anime is acttual garbage . i was group watching with @ZetsubouKaiji this anime and you can see us loseing our sanity our episode by episode opoins in the discussio. i have no clue how to make this review coherent but i guess this is going to be an aproprately unhinged review , with no proof reading for authntcity and the fact that this show doesn't decerve proper gramar. there are spoilers ⚠ (but who really cares about spoilers for motherfucking Shoujo? Naria Girls) STORY!! this is an episodic anime with a new monster each episode, the episodes are so short to the point that there aren't any fights the monstor appers and is then defeated imdietly with some stiupd fuck you laser. each episode satrts with urara intrdocing her self and the main counflict of the episode/ a recap of last episode. the girls adlip (the show does't have a script but insted they have a rouph outline of what will happen. the dirctor worked in a few podcasts from what i can tell ,so he might have thoght the idea of an anime prdoced this way was more fit to his exprtcse or something ?? ps: he's also the voice of the shit fairy) some totaly meaningless and boring BS , the monstor tells a story they littealy took ane voice ators and i qote from the show directly ''say something intresting'' , and finally the monster's ''attck'' which like putts them in an oddly spicific stioution I don't get it .tbh  the comdy is garbdge it's almost as if you are listing to a bunch af randos on the streat and they arený really discssing anything plus it's oddly sexual . not funny didn't laughing. BUT THIS SHOW STILL HAS THE AUDACTY TO HAVE AN ONGING PLOT , i don't rmber or care to rember which episde but urararararararara's grandma dies and since the show is so invpted ot ends up beaing really funny . which lead to her haveing an intrenal crisrs about the reveal that her mother abonded her and then out of nowhere and for no reason at all she starts qustioning her moralty and then it's reveled that her mom is the ice queen and an ex-magical girls that wished her still born child back to life and that every monster was a representaion of somthing she loved, and at the end she sacrfises her self to save her mother and rewrites the universe so that her mother never made that wish . the actual ummm ''plot'' isn't that bad in a vacum but it was sone so poorly in such a shit show that it dosen't work in any way shape and form , plus it leads to the best parts of the show wich are the moments where there's the most intense wiplash you will ever see and it's pure comdy GOLD . they also promos for like games and miusic and stuff at the end of a majoraty of episodes and as sommeone who wants to study markting / advertiseing in collge i feel personaly attacked becuse i can't image why anyone would think this is good advertisment. it isn't like an improv ,laid back anime couldn't work becuse even thogh it is't an anime smiling frends is finny as hell and it's all improve not to mention the shit posts desgised as animes that are Extra Olympia Kyklos (please watch it it's acttually good no cap) and pop team epic  oh yeah they are idols  CHARATERS!!!! there aren't any they are all the same with zero distgusbale charatrestics NEXT !!! SOUND!!! this is the topic that i know the least about but in tearms of Sfx and muisic it's mostly nothing in or painfuly generic . and in tearms of the VA's actually awaful becuse non of them know how to do improv , i know that they aren't just bad becuse those are legit VAs that played some really great roles . ANIMATION!!! so once in middle shcool a girl prsented a video she made in MMD as a project it was just two slightly moded and recolored mikus talking in a side walk about renuable energy and somehow that had more comptent animation than this show.  the charter desighns are so ugly and generic i don't know where to begin . the show sometimes uses 2D stills when ever somthing that would to hard to do in cgi happens or a charter other than the main three girls apprer ecxpt in ep 10 where they moudle this random prdocer lady with out any ryhme or reason i guess the closet thing i can the 2d segments to compare it to would the animation in Thermae Romae or some story book videos made by a youtuber and that's an insult to Thermae Romae and youtubers , the art  isn't that bad really but it's just insulting becuse YOU HAVE TO PAY TO WATCH THIS GARBAGE LEAGALY . the MMD CGI is where this show truly shines like a turd, every thing clips in everthing the mouldes are ugly, the allawysuse the same shot in the same still angle in EVERY SCENE, you can find better body tracking in VR chat .  ENDING SONG??!!! i would be remised to make a review of this anime without mentioning the fact that the vocals and viusls for the ed change each episode. it took me a while to fiugre it out but yeah! WHYYY???  idk COUNCLISION!!!!! I love this show. even though i was shiting on this show in this review this show just like evey so bad it's good show is truly something uniqe , and earnest and i respect that way more than gnearic isikai no.1246823. even when it's boring it's also intreaging in a way, you are never completly bored and there are some funny moments non of them inteinolal may i add , but you can feel that people who made it think they are doing something .  it's always best to try something new and fall flat on your fave than just doing something really generic ,you are alawys wondreing WHO? WHY? WHAT? HOW? and much more.so do i recomed it  but only for people who don't value there sanity with firends.

Mahou Shoujo? Naria Girls ... hmmm, let's do the math.  Twelve episodes, each around 8 1/2 mins.  Let's prolong the agony and round it to nine minutes.  Approximately 108 minutes of idiot-drivel. To give it the best spin possible, call Naria Girls a parody of the magical girl genre.  Created in the same year as Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure and slamming Happiness Charge Precure in one of the episodes, one might call this a direct attack on Toei Animation's Precure franchise.  But in any attack, you need good weapons. But, in Naria Girls’ case, the bomb is a dud. All the elements of magical girl story structure are there.  A trio of girls (Urara, Hanabi, and Inaho) are called on the save the fairy realm of Nariania (a la Smile Precure) and are given Naria gems to help in transformation.  The irony is that after the transformation (one of the ugliest sequences I've seen) the magical girl still looks the same as the normal girl (the costuming one of the ugliest fashion designs in anime).  There is the episode where a new Naria Girl shows up, with the discovery that 'there are other magical girls?' popping  up; bad news, the new magical girl is nothing more than a monster sent to infiltrate and destroy the Naria Girl team (this is a reversal of the nemesis who becomes a Pretty Cure and joins the team a la Cure Passion of Fresh Precure).  There is the power-up episode where the catch-phrase is some of the most moronic spouted out garbage.  There is the episode where one Naria Girl lacks the confidence to go on, and she needs the rest of the team to rally her.  There is the epic battle with the key general, leading to the final battle with the boss.  There is the massive twist in the plot which is one of the most foolish one a creative mind could mangle. And there's the story formula, the key item parodied.  Each episode runs the same.  Urara, whom I assume is Naria Girl leader, introduces herself and her friends in some asinine way.  Then the first half is a battle of improv as the trio exercises their skills in non sequitur.  At break, the monster-of-the-week introduces itself and reveals the evil scheme in some nonsensical rambling manner.  The second half is the Naria Girls under the monster's attack.  Again, this is more improv comedy which is heavy with the sexual inuendo, vulgarisms, and mindless chatter.  That is, until the friendly fairy Animaru breaks  in with a warning that the girls are under the monster's power.  Then with a typical Naria Girl's counter-attack (I don't know, something like ... Constantly Annoying ... Squirrel Droppings ... Pecan Sundae  ... BLAST!), the monster is blown to smithereens , but not without announcing the upcoming comedy act, concert, or VG release.  In the end, it's a wonder that the Naria Girls survived ... or did they?  I'm confused. The anime technique was horrible.  Even the CG portions were amateurish.  The sound and music were shrill (as was the dialogue).  The ad-libbing was almost seiyuu tripping over seiyuu to get a word in.  It was the worst anime experience I could imagine. The good news is I can get back to some good anime features and enjoy them to the max because it looks like someone put a lot of care into the productions.  Mahou Shoujo?  Naria Girls ... not a dram.  It just shows the power of binge-watching and the intestinal fortitude to get ‘er done.
