While not battling enemies that steal spiritia from citizens, the band Fire Bomber takes a break from the present and goes back into the past. The story of how Fire Bomber formed is revealed, and the way it happened is much different than what the media has always believed. Meanwhile, Mylene’s choice between Basara and Gamlin has been forced upon her by her loving mother Millia. In the midst of this, Macross 7 encounters a Zentradi fleet in the middle of space. How are the members of Fire Bomber going to handle current events and still have time for music?
