These movies literally have a quick combination about girl princesses and boys rescuing them. Clarisse has a bad similarity with Sheeta, she is quiet, shy, innocent, and smart. While Sheeta is more of a sad puppy, Clarisse is more of a brave girly girl.

2 Miyazaki classics. While the stories and characters are very different. The films have a similar feel that makes them both really enjoyable

Both of these films involve a girl that the male protagonist takes an interest in. But the girl is being used by the villains, and the protagonist fights to try and win the girl and also fulfill his personal dreams.

With that said, the major differences are that Laputa: Castle in the Sky is more innocent, since the main characters are younger. Lupin is a bit more fun to watch because of his antics, while Laputa strikes me as a bit more serious at times.

But both movies give you a similar feeling in the end, and that's ultimately what I think recommendations are based on.

Both 'Castle of Cagliostro' and 'Beautiful Dreamer' are films based on a popular TV/manga franchise by directors who subsequently became famous in their own rights - Hayao Miyazaki and Mamoru Oshii, respectively. Each film has that director push the franchise in a direction similar to his later pictures - 'Castle of Cagliostro' downplays Lupin's lothario nature and gives us a typically Miyazaki heroine, while 'Beautiful Dreamer' sidesteps Urusei Yatsura's comedy to give us a brooding, philosophical work that is very Oshii in feel. If you enjoyed one for being an early work of promise for an anime director, you may also enjoy the other.

So for the reason about this anime recommendation feel between Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro and Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer is that Lupin the Third The Castle of Cagliostro is directed by Hayao Miyazaki but for Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer is directed by Mamoru Oshii because these two Anime movies is for those who have seen both the anime TV series such as Lupin the Third and Urusei Yatsura in the similarity between the connection of anime movies.

These two films are really remarkably similar. Both are often humorous, fast-paced, and have distinct visual styles, not to mention European settings. Layton is much more kid-friendly than Lupin (though Castle of Cagliostro features a kinder, gentler protagonist than most of the Lupin movies and specials), but if you enjoy the ridiculous over-the-top plot and unbelievable yet completely entertaining antics of one film, you'll very likely enjoy the other.

Unlike the series which tends to lean towards adult themes, the more gentle nature of Lupin in CoC shares many similarities with Professor Layton atED. They are both action packed tales of master puzzle solvers trying to save damsels from wicked men.

Lupin the 3rd is a pleasure to watch: his heists and antics are gripping, his self-extrication from the tightest situations a joy to follow. So if you like witty humour and an adventure-packed setting, why not try Coyote Ragtime Show? The Show is like a Lupin film extended over 12 episodes, filled with heists, chases, and double-crossing characters. It's set in a sci-fi future, has more epic set-pieces, and has equally engaging characters. If Lupin has stolen your heart, Mister and his Coyotes will too.
