Lupin III: Secret Files

Meet Lupin the 3rd, thief extraordinaire. Along with his partner, crack-shot Jigen Daisuke, there's nothing he can't steal. But sometimes he just needs to have a little fun... at the expense of Police Inspector Zenigata, who has devoted all of his energy to catching Lupin! Evading Zenigata isn't Lupin's only worry, though. He also has Mine Fujiko, the beautiful but dangerous thief Lupin would love to steal away with... if she doesn’t finish him first, and Ishikawa Goemon, a master swordsman who has sworn to kill Lupin. With all the obstacles before him, can Lupin’s tricks win the day?

A great intro to an amazing series and character. Monkey punch always had it right with this one. Can someone tell me though why the date says 1989 on AP but all websites say this is the plot episode that started it all in 1969. Someone please enlightenment me if I am wrong. Pandabeard!
