Lupin III: Farewell to Nostradamus

Lupin and Jigen were flying home from a diamond heist one day when they ran into Fujiko and a young girl she is escorting. Soon the plane is hijacked, and the perpetrators escape with not only the girl, but also Lupin’s diamond! As it turns out, Fujiko was planning on stealing the book of Nostradamus’ prophecies from the vault of the girl’s rich father – and the kidnappers, the mysterious Nostradamus sect, are after the same prize. Lupin and the gang must now find a way to break into the vault, steal the book, and save the girl at the same time!

Reviews

An enjoyable yet predictable film featuring Lupin and your standard crazy religious group that wants to dominate the world, or something. The plotline is pretty basic, but not terrible if you're looking for something to kill an hour and a half with. If you are looking for Lupin+action, I found Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro more entertaining and worth my time. It is similar to this film in that Lupin (and crew) is saving a girl, but the stakes are higher and the antagonists more...obscure.
