If you've seen the Selector Wixoss series, you will definitely know what's going on in this one...and if you haven't watched them, you should before watching this as it gives the necessary background for references to the earlier series.  I've never been into card game anime as I've never been much into the card based games themselves.  But I binged watched my way through Selector Wixoss and then Lostorage and enjoyed them both.  But I found Lostorage does recycle similar ideas and the MC's are not too much different between the series.  It's basically the same game with slightly different mechanics and different, but no less tragic consequences for the players.  Overall I liked Lostorage but I found it kind of rushed to the climax of the story, likely due to the fact that it's just one 12 episode season vs Selector where the story spanned two seasons.  I liked the ending in Lostorage though, it's not neat and tidy but hopeful.  At any rate, it's a good successor series to Selector Wixoss and quite enjoyable especially if you liked the earlier series.

Firstly, when you watch this anime you first get the feeling of i've seen this all before, well it is because you have. So, a new Wixoss series based on a card game, do or die affair and life threatning finale. Well, it's well known that anime based on Card Games have a major problem when making a new series: They're basically more of the same with a new story line and a different MC. But the main problem is not that is still the same game with a new mechanic...the main problem is that the protagonists are basically the same ones as in the previous series, just with new characters. That is why they should just name this things remakes instead of new series continutions
