Only 2 episodes in for Locodol but i think i'll be safe making this recommendation - Both Wake Up Girls and Locodol bring us a close and personal view of the world of struggling regional idols, their failures, successors, and growth - both as individuals and as performers.

Two anime where cute moe girls try and promote their local town in unique ways, that attract more attention to their given area. In LocoDol they focus on local idols and getting them attention through idol activities whereas Cheer Fruits is all about creating 'mascots' for the town to help promote what their town is about in order to save something special. If you enjoy a bunch of cute girls doing cute things for a reason of some sort, or just generally like this style of anime and you've watched one, you might want to check out the other.
If you like shows where cute girls will do things to promote their towns look no further than these 2 anime.
