Story: The movie was "loosely" based off the weekly comic strips by Winsor McCay that appeared in a few New York newspapers in the early 1900's. The story is definitely captivating, Nemo visiting a whole different world as he sleeps and soon you start to wonder if what he's seeing is real or still the dream. Nemo quickly becomes the hero and has to save the world that is only in his dreams, or is it?

Animation: For a film made in 1989, the animation is beautiful and smooth with bright colors and vivid backgrounds and worlds.

Sound: I've only heard the English dub, but there is plenty of emotion played out in the voice acting. Some of the music can be a little "sleepy" though.

Characters: Nemo is definitely a great character and you see him grow throughout the movie. Even secondary and minor roles have a lot of personality and makes this movie worth watching over and over.

Overall: This was my first anime anything and I watched it so many times when I was a kid, back before I even knew what anime was. Knowing that is now only makes me more fond of this childhood favorite. This is definitely a movie to see if you love fantasy type anime and movies and I'd definitely recommend anyone to check it out.
