In his dreams, Nemo flies through the city on his magical bed, dodging trains, skimming the water and sailing under bridges along the way.
Check it out, especially if you're interested in analog animation of water and flight or the bumpy production history of Little Nemo. It has much higher animation quality and a faster pace than what would become the final movie. Nemo rides his flying bed through the night skies after being coaxed out of his bedroom by a boy pilot. The nameless boy flies a Wright Brothers-esque plane and guides Nemo through the city resulting in a fabulous action sequence and gives us a taste of what could have been, if Kondo had remained on the project. I was lucky enough to see a screening of this pilot as a part of an exhibit on Yoshifumi Kondo that came to the Hamamatsu City Art Museum while I was living in the area. (You can just find it online though.)
