If you're looking for anime similar to Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy, you might like these titles.
Adapted from the popular video game franchise, Ace Attorney follows rookie lawyer Naruhodou Ryuuichi (Phoenix Wright) and his assistant Mayoi (Maya) as he defends his clients in a court of law. With limited evidence and logic as his only weapon, can Naruhodou turn the case around when all the odds are stacked against him?
Both of these anime are very accurate adaptations of the popular video games they are based off of. They are light-heared, fun, and don't take themselves too seriously. If you're a fan of one, I recommend you check out the other.
There are a couple of similarities: positive main characters, detective stories, well, even being based on a video game:) Both have their flaws, but are fun and worth watching.
In the story, there is nothing in the world that the mysterious phantom thief Joker cannot steal. He goes after one treasure after another in unpredictable capers with seemingly miraculous tricks.

Maybelle West is a young relative of the famous Miss Marple, and an aspiring detective in her own right. Although the privilege of getting to witness Miss Marple's work from up close ought to be enough to train anyone in the craft, Maybelle also secures herself a place under the tutelage of another detective genius, Hercule Poirot. Thus, she ends up traveling between the village of St. Mary Mead and London, observing the two great minds at work as they use their amazing powers of deduction to solve crimes that leave the regular police baffled.
