If you're a fan of history or alternate history in a realistic non mech or magic sense then this show is for you. After the death of a WW2 admiral in this timeline he gets reincarnated in a different timeline a few years before the German invasion of Poland which kickstarts the war.

After meeting with another high-ranking official who also gets reincarnated the two of them then plan to change Japan's future, they create a coup d'état overthrowing emperor Hirohito and arresting Toto. Then uplifting censorship so the press could write what they want without restrictions.

This is all in the first episode and it ends on an alternate retelling of Pearl Harbor, although I don't condone what the Japanese did during world war 2 the writing and ideas that was employed in this show was really impressive as well as the designs of the warships and airplanes.

This show has a total of 22 episodes all last 48 min each. And to be honest although the show was interesting it did have moments which made me sleep, there was a lot of talking and military strategy.

This anime had better animation than most anime did in the mid 1990's and to be honest I wish studios produced more realistic retellings of war like this.
