Reasons you might like Lord Marksman and Vanadis...

Both of thwese shows are brilliant. The hero is Lord Marksman and Vanadis is Lord Tigre, an expert marksman and a count of the land of Alsice. He only wants peace for his people, but he is pulled into a desperate fight for survival and for good. In Kingdom, the hero is Xin, a slave that earned his freedom by rescuing the rightful ruler of of the state of Qin and has aspirations of becoming the greatest general under the heavens.

Both shows have intelligent story-lines that keep you on your toes and guessing as to who might win out in the end. Although, everyone knows the hero's always come out on top.

Kingdom uses some crappy CG for some of heir massive armies while Lord Marksman and vanadis just scale back the armies considerably and use a tiny bit of CG for some chess pieces that they use to demonstrate the movements of the armies that they won't be showing.

While Kingdom has unbelievable (literally) feats of strength and physical prowess, Lord Marksman offers magic-wielding vixens with EXCELLENT ....attributes...

Both are fantastic.

Both animes focus on fighting within the kingdom and fighting with external parties. There is a heavy focus on battles and strategies and the main character is a young male. Both involve at least one main character stuggling to be a great king.
