I don't think the story is a cliché but somehow it doesn't feel refreshing the way other anime feel like. I like the whole idea that words have a hidden truth to them but I think that it could have been portrayed better, sometimes it felt a little forced when they talked about it. The animation is amazing, I really liked that they didn't do 'the regular' shots and chose to put some unconventional parts in there (the position of the seagulls at the beginning, for instance). The sound, especially the song at the end is great and I would recommend listening to it. The characters aren't that special but somehow the anime still gives you a feel-good sort of feeling. Because the anime is slow-paced I would recommend watching it when you feel relaxed as well. I think you would enjoy it a lot more that way.
