STORY The majority of this 5-minute short is about a young boy who is kicking a pebble while on his way home. At first it was actually kinda enjoyable, and it managed to capture what being a kid was like. And then it got...weird? He sees his mother in a moment that looks like some kind of major plot point - no spoilers - but right afterwards he buys an ice-cream and the show is over. The boy realizing that it was his mother was shoved in for no reason and felt very out of place. ANIMATION It's very abstract, with some parts being semi-normal while others making him look like stretched out playdough. Usually abstract is fine, but some parts had him morphing so fast that it hurt my eyes and gave me a slight headache. SOUND Nothing much to say about it. The music fit it well and the actor who voiced the boy sounded fine. CHARACTERS Like with the sound, there isn't really much to say. The boy is a typical child while the mother and ice-cream man only appear for about 3 seconds each. OVERALL Some parts were enjoyable, but the disjointed ending left me feeling confused as to what the heck just happened. If they had left out the bit with his mom than I probably would've given it one more star. But nothing more than that, 'cause overall it's nothing special. It's just...meh.
