Inari is a sweet and shy middle school girl with a HUGE crush on Tanbabashi, one of the cutest guys in her grade. She’s not smooth enough to tell him how she feels, and every time she tries things just keep getting worse! But when a beautiful goddess grants Inari the power to shape-shift, Inari uses her newfound powers to attempt to win over Tanbabashi.
Both are of the shoujo genre, where girl meets deity and her life is no longer the same. Kamisama Hajimemashita is a bit different as the girl begins to have feelings for the deity she meets while Inari Konkon's girl-to-deity relationship is pure friendship only, but do not fear, Inari Konkon has its own special romance too. They have similar comedy, very pretty animation, and share somewhat of the same atmosphere, so you'll definitely want to check both of them out.
Yato, the supposed God of Calamity, is so far down on the Shinto totem pole that he doesn't even have any followers or a shrine to call his own and has to do odd jobs to make ends meet. Worst of all, his aloof and somewhat goofy personality has just cost him his newest partner and best holy weapon. When the down-on-his-luck Yato is saved by an unfortunate soul called Hiyori, he's forced to take on a brand new job - to turn her back into a human and fix her supernatural out-of-body experiences! Can Yato, a Regalia-less, miserly minor god, even attempt such a tall order? And is there more to him than his ridiculousness lets on?
Natsume is lonely; he has an ability that separates him from others: he can see and interact with spirits. Soon, however, Natsume discovers that he’s not alone: his grandmother Reiko also had the gift. But things get hectic and possibly dangerous for Natsume when he finds out that he also inherited the 'Book of Friends', a book that contains the names of all the spirits Reiko defeated and subjugated. He finds himself hounded by his grandmother's underlings and, with the help of a 'cat' charm spirit, decides to free them from the Book's shackles, as well as protect the book from those who seek to misuse its power...
