Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in Haruhi's case, the extremely talented. But no amount of talent will help when Haruhi accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force Haruhi to work for them until the debt is repaid; but they get a lot more than they bargained for...

If you like cute anime about a variety of hot boys surrounding one girl then these are the choices for you. Both these shows are reverse harem anime. They have different set ups, but that doesn't matter because these episodes are all about the pretty boys eaching taking their turn to have a little adventure and light romance with the leading girl.

These are both fairly fun anime if you like reverse harem anime. Kamigami is a bit more cliche and predictable than Ouran. Ouran has a lot more comedy and faster pacing than Kamigami, but both of these shows offer plenty of laughs and a few heartwarming moments as well. They both have large casts of colorful characters and they take place in bright colorful backgrounds as well. If you liked one then check out the other.

Both of these reverse harem animes contain a commoner girl teaching gods/rich boys about life. She has her hands full with at least one air-head with a heart of gold, tricksters, and a cast of other unique characters. Both animes also put a slight spin on the slice of life genre.

Both reverse harem, plus really funny.

If you liked one of them I will guarantee you will like the other one also.

In both anime is the job of the main char to get the know a handsome group of guys. And teach them about them self and love for friends and them self. Because of the main char a really close group will be formed. In uta no prince-same: maji love 10000% a awsome and handsome singing group will be formed. And in kamigami no asobi wil be a group of powerfull handsome gods.

If you like the humor and the chars in one of the anime you will like the other

Both of these reverse harem anime are about a young woman trying to connect with a group of male classmates in order to do some large function at the school. In Kamigami, it's to connect with their human classmates, in Magic-kyun it's a school festival. Both give each guy some one on one time with the lead, feature some surprisingly similar male types, and are visually very colorful. If you liked the magic and romance in one, try the other.

KonohaNinja16 KonohaNinja16 says...

Both female leads are very determined. They form friendships with the guys and try to get them to join the rest of them. Yui Kusanagi tries and gets all the boys to attend class and Konoha Aigasaki tries to get the rest of the boys to attend the committee meetings. The atmospheres are both similar and they are very colorful. Both girls attend a new school. They each help the guys to figure out or learn something new.

Yui must now learn to cope with her new life of being sadistically abused at every turn, whether she’s called derogatory slurs, forced to feed the vampires’ bloodlust against her will, or being treated like the garbage they see her to be.

Both these anime are reverse harems where a group of impossibly pretty boys all go after the same girl.

If you found the agressive and violent assholes in Diabolik too much to stomach then you should check out Kamigami. None of the guys try to hurt the female lead or force themselves on her. Instead, they are an adorable fumbling lot that need to learn about interacting with other people.

The set up of the shows are different. Diabolik is about a group fo vampire guys making a human girl their play thing. Kamigami is about a group of socially awkward gods that need to learn about humanity through interacting with the female lead. Both shows follow the same formula of each episode being mostly dedicated to one of the guys, but in Kamigami the guys treat her like she's a human being instead of an object to be used.

If you were unfortunate enough to see Diabolik Lovers, but still want to watch another reverse harem them do check out Kamigami.

sandbecca sandbecca says...

Both of this anime is very good. Diabolik Lovers is more about the Vampire life and mystery. It is also more unanswered questions in Diabolik Lovers than Kamigami no Asobi. In Kamigami no Asobi are there more a history about then Diabolik Lovers and in it you understands the meaning of the anime, so this two anime is very good an a like but also completely different. I love this to anime but it is not the best anime I have seen, I love them. <3

So I am going with the whole love angle of both sides/ reverse harm as a reason of recommendation though in fruit basket their was really only one love competetor (lets be honest the rat had no chance it was all about the cat). Also, both have a sense of magic with fruit basket being based around the zodiac representations while kamigami no asobi being gods so a similar feel of mystical beings around a human girl. They both dabble in school themes of setting and are some of my favourite animes enjoy ^^.

clarabc clarabc says...

They're both reverse harem animes to begin with. Even though the stories don't have much in common, both girls (main characters) have the same 'power' or 'ability' to change or influence their friends and help them to face their fears or overcome their problems. They're both really good animes, I also recommend to read Fruits Basket manga.

Nimurai Nimurai says...

One plain human girl who have to teach about love some upernatural beings. Not romantic love, but LOVE.

Lunatalia Lunatalia says...

Similar themes between Fruits Basket and Kamigami no Asobi: Multiple attractive men romantically interested in one girl, a determined female protagonist aiming to help them (no matter the cost), and supernatural themes (Kamigami no Asobi involving mythological gods made human, and Fruits Basket involving men who become animals of the zodiac as the result of a curse). In both anime you will find a simplistic but likable protagonist, where most of the plot focus is going to be on the leading men. The main difference comes in scale- Kamigami no Asobi's finale has a lot more at stake, and it comes across as a much larger impact. In Fruits Basket, you'll find that the slice-of-life feel carries through a lot more, and it's a more personal ending. If you enjoy one, you might enjoy the other.

Both are supernatural fantasy anime with some comedy. Both anime have bishounens surrounding the lead character. However, Makai Ouji's protagonist is a male while Kamigami no Asobi's is a female.

PurplePeopleEater PurplePeopleEater says...

Both of these animes have a similar feel about them, especially how they end. The character types are also similar and both involve different worlds/realms/what ever you want to call it. Devils and Realists involves heaven, hell, and the human world and Kamigami involves the human world and the world of the gods. Both involve some otherworldly characters going to human or human like school and having to learn to deal with humans. Devils and Realists has demons in a human school and Kamigami has a human attending a school with several gods from different mythology in a school modeled after schools in the human world. Both of these anime center around a human who for some reason is dragged into dealing with the beings from the other worlds without their consent (who gets dragged to another world willingly anyways?) and is stuck in their situation until they complete a single mission. If you liked one, you will probably like the other, although Kamigami has more romance and less fighting and supernatural events.

This is another anime that puts a lot more thought into its characters than your typical otome/reverse-harem anime and really thinks about the realism of its plotlines. You find yourself unable to choose a specific pairing and even sympathise for the worst of characters.

One day her favorite anime character dies and the shock causes her to lose a ton of weight. Then four hot guys at school ask her out, but that isn't exciting to her at all — she'd rather see them date each other!

I recommend this anime because it revolves around one girl being surronded by alot of guys.  I am really bad at describing anime, so i am going to post the discription, not knowing if it will pop up or not with the title. Propably, but this discription is from kissanime.ru

Description:

Kae Serinuma is a second year high schooler and an avid fujoshi who secretly ships her classmates, Igarashi-kun and Nanashima-kun. The death of her favorite anime character causes her to become stressed—and loses weight rapidly. Now that Serinuma has become an attractive girl to her classmates, her snarky kouhai Shinomiya-kun, and her senpai Mutsumi, how is she going to deal with them ...with her constant BL-filled, fujoshi mind?!

Description of Kamigami no Asobi:

The story revolves around Kusanagi Yui, who is ordered by Zeus, a god and the headmaster of a school he created, to teach the meaning of love to young and handsome gods. The reason he has for doing this is to cancel the negative effects of the weakening bond between the world of the divine and the world of the humans.
