Mao Lan is a typical seventeen-year-old girl with a not-so-typical life. She’s been trained since childhood by her perverted grandfather to be a master in their family’s secret martial arts style, and is tasked with training the old men that visit their dojo – not to mention trying her best to be seen with all of her clothes on! In addition to dealing with the dojo’s newest recruit and a nosy sports reporter, Mao Lan must also train to enter the martial arts competition Prime Mat at her grandfather’s insistence. His old friend, it seems, has made a startling request that she’s unable to refuse: he wants Mao Lan to defeat his very own granddaughter in the ring!

I think this anime is a little underrated. The fighting matches are great, they are brutal and raw, with some moves being pretty realistic and others more superpower like. There is not much to the story, basically is a tournament where you have to defeat stronger and stronger opponents. There are some contradictions to the plotline but I don't want to give anything away. You'll probably watch this anime for the action scenes anyway. There is a lot of fanservice at the beginning episodes but that goes away after a while, focusing more on the fights and moves of each opponent. Basically, I would recommend this anime if you like fights and violence, and who doesn't?
