It might be strange to recomment this, but I actually think they go together well. Both animes are definitely unique! They have a very epic, fresh world and visual design. Though their settings and genres are quite different, they both deal with the question of what makes a human a human, what is worth preserving and why, what it a good and maybe not so good way to deal with issues. They also feature beings who show human chaacteristics but actually don't understand humans at all (or have lost all sense for what is important, from the human point of view). They're both challenging. KADO, because it introduces a lot of complex theories based on quantum mechanics and questions our self-made human problems. Ancient Magus' Bride, because it has elements or horror and tragedy (although it's not like KADO doesn't have scarry and sad parts).Either way, I was absolutely amazed by both works in a way, that I would usually only feel when it came to Ghibli productions (and Black Butler series). It's also two animes who have lead to absolutely incredible, complex and serious discussions between viewers regarding the different positions that you can take, when looking at the same problem. Definitely give both works a try (and don't forget to check for OVAs etc.)
