The last of the passengers are leaving the inside of the giant Kado cube, and it's time for the next step: moving the cube itself to a new location away from Haneda airport. Shindo takes the lead in organizing the project, leading Tsukai to ask how long it's been since he slept. He can't remember. This is the next step of the anisotropic's plan.

Both have some being (from another universe)with white hair mysteriously come out of no where and slightly freak people out.

Told by her own mother that she should never have been born and passed from one neglectful guardian to the next, the young girl has grown up feeling lost, hopeless, and emotionally numb. At age fifteen she sells herself into slavery, desperate for a home where somebody - anybody - actually wants her to be...

It might be strange to recomment this, but I actually think they go together well. Both animes are definitely unique! They have a very epic, fresh world and visual design. Though their settings and genres are quite different, they both deal with the question of what makes a human a human, what is worth preserving and why, what it a good and maybe not so good way to deal with issues. They also feature beings who show human chaacteristics but actually don't understand humans at all (or have lost all sense for what is important, from the human point of view). They're both challenging. KADO, because it introduces a lot of complex theories based on quantum mechanics and questions our self-made human problems. Ancient Magus' Bride, because it has elements or horror and tragedy (although it's not like KADO doesn't have scarry and sad parts).Either way, I was absolutely amazed by both works in a way, that I would usually only feel when it came to Ghibli productions (and Black Butler series). It's also two animes who have lead to absolutely incredible, complex and serious discussions between viewers regarding the different positions that you can take, when looking at the same problem. Definitely give both works a try (and don't forget to check for OVAs etc.)
