Both series have a similar atmosphere and setting (both are set in a big city) and both have a large amount of characters  and you get to find out about each of them, although Durarara!! has more. There are also gangs involved with both anime. If you liked one, you should definitely check out the other.

Both K and Durarara have plots involving students who get themselves involved and large power struggles between rivaling gangs. Both casts are large, but full of memorable characters. Both contain supernatural elements as well. Furthermore, both of these have the setting be a large city.

In both K and Durarara!!, you get to see things through the viewpoints of various characters. Numerous questions are raised. Who is the good guy? Who is the bad guy? Is this character as innocent as they claim to be? What do they have to do with anything? With large casts and lots of stuff happening at once, you may want to remember names and faces. The story doesn't make much sense in either series until later on as things start to come together, so be prepared to buckle up. 

There are still a few more things these two share - both are set in a large city, there are different gangs going at each other, and there's even some supernatural stuff going on to spice things up. It's undeniable - if you liked one, you should definitely be interested in the other.

If you enjoyed the interworking of groups and relationships between characters in K, you will surely enjoy Durarara!! K is more colorful and aesthetically pleasing, but the animation and darker feel of Durarara!! suits the anime perfectly. Durarara!! provides more developed characters and a quirkier, more engaging plot.

When I started to watch K, I got an instant Durarara!! vibe to it! They both take place in a city, both of them have similar themes, such as gangs, different people that have different goals. Some characters even look similar to each other! Kusanagi is the spitting image of Shizuo!

Both anime's have the same type of vibe.

A bit of the supernatural, a lot of gang fights, and some kid caught in the middle. With the view point constantly shifting, these anime let the cast tell the story. The big city is up for the taking and everyone wants a piece of the turf, but you don't have to pick a side when you pair these anime up.

Both anime are set heavily in the criminal underworld. Stories focus on interactions between different "gangs" or organizations that have competing goals about how the city should be controlled and managed. Both have a fantasy component, and an abstract storyline within a modern Japanese setting.

A seemingly innocent high school student ends up getting involved with a massive conflict between rival gangs, encountering a large cast of colorful characters in the process. The gangs in these series also all have a different color assigned to them (Red, Blue, and Silver for K; Red, Blue, and Yellow for Durarara). Both series also have supernatural elements, such as possession and non-human characters, and are set in a big city.

They both deal with groups of individuals fighting off against each other in the premise of a city. Theres an element of magic in both but it's the mind games played out in both animes that really stood out for me as similar. I really liked the overall balance of dark and comedic themes in both animes as well.

One word: GANGS. Both of these anime have big gang stories with a hint of supernatural aspects. There is a surplus of great and memorable male characters and the relationships in both would definitely make you happy and sad at times.

Both series center around a white haired boy who is protected by a badass. The white haired boy and his bodygaurd are thrown into a battle between two supernatrually powered groups of people who both take an interest in the white haired boy. The white haired boy is more then what he appears to be which forms part of the plot for these series.

If you like a show about a cute male lead, protected by strong male characters, and fought over by various strange organizations AND you don't mind a haphazardly thrown together plot, then these two shows will be great for you.

Bishonen-filled shows (with plenty of fujoshi bait) which have a confusing premiere that makes one think the plot is going to be much more complex than it actually is. So if you like your action with a simple storyline, well animated and full to the brim with eye-candy, do give either of them a chance.

Main characters have simmilar looks and characteristics. In both animes they are being involved in the war of two competing organizations.

Adorable and meek male leads with unique and mysterious abilities, origins, and flashbacks. Both require protection, and those around them seem more than eager to fulfill that need. Shiro (K) and Nai (Karneval) are both amiable and considerate. Their foils are a little trigger-happy and proud. Everybody gets caught up in some violent, grand scheme that's way bigger than themselves. Chaos. Organized chaos. With attractive babyfaces.

K and Karneval have similar main characters (in looks and behaviour), both involve a lot of fights using supernatural powers, and both have way too complicated plots where you won't know what is going on even in the later episodes.

Both anime/manga have airy white-haired boys with unknown secrets as the main characters and both said white-haired boys have strong people protecting them, aka, one serious person and one childish person, as well as groups chasing after them. The main characters, Nai for Karneval, and Yashiro for K, are pretty similar.

Both anime have organizasions with strange powers and both take place in a technology advanced setting.

Plus, both animes have great animation and art work.

I recommend reading the manga of both as well if you like the anime ^_^

They're both mystrey and have magic in them!!!! Plus they're both really good anime that are interesting and are not boring to watch! They both have really colorful animtion as well! Also the characters are sorta similar i mean cute white-haired boy protected my badass black-haired boy in both anime!

5. Fast-paced, supernatural. Karneval does focus more on character development.

In these anime, the main protagonist is thrown into a world where people have special powers. He's joined by an eclectic group of individuals, hunted by a gang/mafia of powered people, and over the course of the anime, he comes to accept this strange new life. so, if you liked one, you just might like the other.

Both shows are beautifully constructed and rich in plot, character and world development. K and Bungou Stray Dogs both have a large cast, supernatural powers, and several factions fighting against one another. The tensions between the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency mirror that of Homra and Scepter4, where they are pitted in a constant struggle to maintain peace (from Scepter4 and the ADA) versus the need to fulfill one's own desire (from Homra and the Port Mafia).

Two (or more organizations) figthing each other to maintain peace in a city,  battles between supernatural power wielders and beautiful beautifully, complex constructed plots that will keep you to the edge of your seat. If you watched one, you most definitely have to watch the other.

Both anime have two or more organizations that fight each other im order to keep the peace in the city. Some (or most) of characters are users of supernatural abilities which make the battles even more impressive and stunning. In both anime start as another manga about gang fights but later the plot starts to become more mysterious.

K is puzzlingly unique, but Eden of the East comes to mind as a similarly exciting title. K has sets of rival gangs competing in a power grab but doesn't focus so much on the stakes of the game, while EotE has rival individuals competing with a much higher set of stakes. In both, the main male character has amnesia which is tied into the plot--if you liked either of these shows, I'd say give the other a go.

As Person A above said, they both have amnesia about their pasts, but end up as major players to how events unfold. Although I have to say, the situation in 'K' could have become as dire as the ones promised in 'Eden of the East,' so the struggles of the characters are fairly significant.  Their personalities are fairly similar as well, in that they're a bit silly, but strong in a strange way, and  very serious about their goals (once they recall their memories, that is).

Let's make Japan great again! Whether through magic or money, both of these anime are about larger forces working to bring peace and prosperity to the land of the rising sun. A student finds himself caught up in the schemes, and has to fight for his life, even if he doesn't know why.

Both anime have a similar set-up by rank. Kings rule over groups and they fight with each other.

Both series revolve around a set of kings ruling over certain terroritory and groups that fight amongst each other. The major difference is that the main character of Air Gear, Ikki actually takes part in the fighting where as the MC of K, Yashiro does not. While K is more superpower based, Air Gear is more based around extreme physics.

Extreme personalities defying physics and the finding ways to blow your mind. Attractive men, clueless morons with high hopes and lovely ladies, it gets you sitting on the edge of your seat cheering for more.

Definitely both are binge worthy, like Pringles. Can't stop at just one episode.

Why I recomend these two? They both start off as comedies and get more serious towards the end. Their protagonists are similarly shrouded in mystery but you get to know them better as the story progresses. Also their relationships with other people are similar (kings/gods and their followers). In the end both these anime are nothing less than a fun adventurous ride.

This person is completely right. I watched K and was looking for something else to watch. I just finished Noragami and liked it even better. The review hits the nail on the head. If you liked the feal of either series, then you will like the other.

While they each have a unique premise, both shows have this sense of magical realism that I love they each feature a "world within a world", with enigmatic and mysterious characters at the center.

The line between serious and comedic is well-balanced in both shows, and i love the animation styles of both shows. If you liked one, you'll likely enjoy the other.

Psycho-pass has their own mystery. Just like anime K, their own mystery are awesome. Pyscho-pass is about real world and same as K. With the one squad to protect the city, K also have it. With the best story-line, you must watch it if you want to know the real mystery and the shocking climax!

Both animes have "kings" and both are about different factions of people with different powers. There are some major differences but this simple fact kept reminding me of accel world when watching k

Both are about different colored kings fighting for power, and have a smilar feel. If you liked the politics of one I suggest you check out the other.

I'm making this rec based mostly on the fact that both anime have flashy well animated action scenes. The settings are similar as well. Both take place in a special city where people have various powers. Both shows have some ecchi fanservice but it's not so heavy as to take over the show.

Strike the blood has demons and vampires whereas K the people with powers are still normal humans. K's plot is very convoluted and isn't very interesting, but the show is more about the fluidly animated fight scenes.

If you were a fan of either shows well animated fight scenes, and their settings where people with strange powers are all living together in a special city, then the other may have enough to warrant a watch. There's also a hint of fanservice in each if that's your thing.

The main difference is that in Strike the Blood, the characters are mainly supernatural in origin, so things like demons and vampires are the norm, whereas in K they are super powered humans. 

In any case, there are enough similarities between the shows to make one worth seeing if you enjoyed the other.

Through the unique plot and character design of K I think that Guilty Crown would be a good fit. Guilty Crown not also goes into the military side of things but also has an interesting mystery that lingers until closer to the end of the series. The art work in Guilty Crown is superb, but in my opinion I still like the colors in K more. Guilty Crown is filled with just as much- if not more- action as K and a different but equally as cool way of fighting.

Modern day societies where clans and groups are fighting each other. They also include identity crisis' of characters, so it's both watching interesting storylines as well as figuring out what the heck is actually going on.
