My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not going to stop him from...

(my hero academia as a franchise not only season one)

ok, hear me out:

  • overpowered protagonists in red sneakers (both gain new power(?) and are able to run fast)
  • new school environment
  • teacher/parental figure takes the main character under their wing to help them tame the new power
  • monsters? kinda, sorta
  • school tournaments
  • the antagonist is untouched by the season one finale (in fact they are scheming and gaining power)
  • interesting characters imo

Bleach

Bleach

Fifteen-year-old Ichigo Kurosaki is a typical teen with fighting skills, two caring sisters and a special trait: he can see ghosts. Vengeful spirits known as Hollows roam the world in...

ok nobody has to disagree this is too much similar to bleach . The fact that he is a highschool student , the monsters remind us of hollows , the fact that he can see them and not the others , ichigo hollow etc... well well

riraia riraia says

Itadori's character really reminds me of Ichigo Kurosaki. Also the fact that they both have someone inside them.

Jayage Jayage says

Both are very similar supernatural animes where the protagonists joins a group that fights demon like monsters, that only members of the group can see.

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul

In modern day Tokyo, society lives in fear of Ghouls: mysterious creatures who look exactly like humans -- yet hunger insatiably for their flesh. None of this matters to Ken Kaneki, a bookish and ordinary young man, until a dark and violent encounter turns him into the first ever Ghoul-human half breed. Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent...

Both series revolve around the main character being possessed/gaining spiritual abilities that they must control and maintain

GabiiTachibana GabiiTachibana says

Both series feature a protagonist who gains the abilities of an inhuman being (cursed spirits in Jujutsu Kaisen, ghouls in Tokyo Ghoul) and uses those powers to fight against those very same creatures.

Beth0410 Beth0410 says

Both series revolve around the main character being turned into or possessed by an inhuman being. They use the abilities gained from that to fight against the cursed spirits (Jujutsu Kaisen) and other ghouls (Tokyo Ghoul).
