Jujutsu Kaisen - Reviews

Even though i haven't finished the anime yet, i still think its kinda worth watching. The story is good the character design, the curses design everything is cool. there are some laughs along the way too.the animation is just like any other anime, the sound, Most of them is really good but some of it you can identify the sound's fake but only with a few things. The story is not slow, every episode is packed up with everything. In the character design when looked fron the side they look different.OVERALL THE ANIME IS GOOD NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT IT SAME CONCEPT LIKE IN SOME OTHER ANIME.

Story:

This had a pretty interesting story. Pretty much a shadow school of sorcerers who fight curses, which are pretty much monsters, but not physical apparently. The main character, through certain events, ends up in the school. I though the story flowed pretty well and there weren't really any slow points or filler episodes.

Animation:

The animation was pretty good. The fight scenes looked good and the character design was nice.

Sound:

I really didn't care for the background music or the opening and closing songs. They did do well with the voice acting and the voices of the curses.

Characters:

Some of them were really weird, but all the characters were unique and well designed. One especially good thing is the main bad guys actually have a goal and are not just operating on the usual bad guy character of being evil just for the sake of being evil.

Overall:

This was a pretty fun watch. Had cool fight scenes and some good humor also. Definently a recommendation to watch.

"Searching For Someone To Blame Is Such A Pain." -Satoru Gojo

Jujutsu Kaisen was one of the most hyped animes of 2020. I had expected a lot from it but sadly, I'm disappointed.

Firstly, the story is a typical shounen and the MC is a high schooler. As we've always known there's at least one goofy guy in shounen animes and in this anime, our MC Itadori Yujii players the role and he plays it well ngl. But that's about all for him which is going in the right direction. He ends to swallowing a first-grade cursed item to save a jujutsu sorcerer from getting killed! WHAT?! 

In the anime, Itadori is rarely seen training and in a fight with Toudou, he gets a first-grade attack down on the first try. WHAT AGAIN? IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT? WITHOUT TRAINING? As if that was not enough, he goes around knocking down first-grade curses like they're nothing and in the last episode, he's seen being recommended to be promoted to a first-grade jujutsu sorcerer. Talk about being overpowered seeesh! 

The plot is no good either. There are massive plot holes because of which I didn't quite enjoy watching the show as much as I thought I would. Many things were left unexplained. There's no explanation behind Itadori's super strength and speed. But let's just say he was born that way.

It was mentioned that being a vessel of a curse such as Sukuna is extremely rare but it has not been explained why Itadori is compatible with Sukuna. Because it is a rare occurrence, all the more reasons it should be backed up by explanations.

Episode 13: How did Mihito end up in Sukuna's "mind" or whatever that's called after Itadori broke into Mihito's domain expansion when Itadori himself did not use domain expansion nor did he swap with Sukuna?
Without this, Nanami would be dead. Plot armor? 
These are just a few of many problems with the plot.

The characters are all well crafted and individualistic. They all have a story to tell. It's refreshing how they all, in the same situation, take things differently and handle them differently. 

The animation is top-notch. I'm all for Satoru Gojo's sexy eyes uwu.

Juju Kaisen is a good all rounder anime series. Not too shabby on the character designs in fact the background art is fire. I like the straight up action the series contains and the gore, I love gore. Nonetheless very great story plot with the curses and what not AND GREAT FIGHT SCENES HOLY COW

For the 20 episodes that I've seen this seems amazing! 

Gives me very much shounen vibes but in a way that is unique. Still has some tropes we've all seen before.

The potential death of a main character by the protecting institution like Nezuko in Demon Slayer, a connection and potential possesion by a demon like creature and it's host like Naruto and Kurama although this time with no redemption in sight for the king of demons, and again a trio of students and their teacher like Naruto again and finally a main character with unimaginable power hidden inside but it's too destructive for them to use in their current weak disposition similarly to Deku in My Hero Acadamia and many other anime.

It's recommended for any who has seen the previously mentioned anime and liked those, you will absolutely fall in love with our main boy Itadori Yuuji and his friends, I can see the potential for reaching Demon Slayer and MHA levels of fandom admiration if the quality keeps it's consistency throughout the season and potentially going into season 2. So far no episodes have been slow in neither action packed scenes nor emotionally intense scenes. The relationship between Itadori and the other students have been interesting to see develop and I'll look forward seeing them deal with their conflicting emotions and attachement to a ticking time bomb

The only reason I don't award Jujutsu Kaisen with top marks is that it's too early to tell about its longevitiy and staying power among fans and also how it'll impact the anime community going forward.
