Now hold on a minute, I see you reading this wondering: "Has this guy gone cray? Has he finally lost it after watching anime over all those years? What could possibly be the link between a parody anime about bread and Jojo?" now let me explain... I have every possible reason to believe that if you are a Jojo fan, you will most definitely enjoy Yakitate!! Japan and vice versa. Now it's been quite a while since I've watched Yakitate!! Japan and I had no idea of the existence of Jojo at the time, but first thing that came to my mind while watching Jojo, especially the Stardust Crusader saga was that feeling I once had while watching Yakitate!! Japan. First of all, both series are Shounen (that's fair enough of a start, don't you think?) then, the Stand in Jojo have a similar impact in the anime than the reactions of the judge in each Arc of Yakitate (being it Kuroyanagi, Pierrot Bolneze, you name it...) Both series also have a very similar sense of humour who somehow doesn't make you drift away from the main storyline while adding a plus to the overall enjoyment value of the show. I could even add that the "travelling the world" aspect is present in both show, which is why I specifically recommend Stardust Crusader. They end up going to Europe in Yakitate; Jojo and friends end up travelling from Japan to Egypt to beat Dio Brando's ass with (may I say, a few) escales, you get where I'm going with this now are you? Yakitate even has that similar "Monster-of-the-Week" feel to it (minus the monster part) since there is this reccurent pattern of: contest, leading to cooking a new or existing variety of bread, leading to an epic reaction from the judge. Even the animation style, while being quite different in both show still has that similar epicness to it. Finally, if you've had the courage to read up to here without falling asleep (kudos to you!), go take a look at that anime will you, chances are you won't be disappointed.

Both anime feature over-the top violence, a core team of powerful travelers who face even more powerful enemies on their way to find something, Golden Kamuy being gold, JoJo being a vampire. Both have chemistry that continues building through the main characters. Both protagonists also have a sweet hat.
