Much the same as season 1 of JoJo, the new season is also worth a recommendation to Kill la Kill. The brilliant VA's, the over the top action, the self aware cheese and slight ridiculousness of the 2 shows all go hand in hand.

Anyone who enjoys one will probably enjoy the other, but whereas Kill la Kill is a story centring around the female themes, JoJo is nothing other than a totally masculine affair.

Both are tour de forces of visual inventiveness, using things like varied colour palettes and texted sound effects or names to great effect. Both have a very unique look compared to their contemporaries, and they have lots of action, great characters and general awesomeness to offer.

These series share a lot, so a fan of either would do well to check out the other one.

Brad Brad says...

Bizarre visuals are used to great effect in each of these shows, with very distinctive character designs, interesting use of colour and visual effects. Beyond that they each share great action, fun characters and a perfectly fitting OST than enhances the battles.

Both are just all round great shows, so a fan of one could do a lot worse than giving the other a go.

Both JJBA and KLK combine interesting visuals with great soundtracks and voice acting performances to enhance their always great fights. The fun, unique characters and comedy are bonuses too.

Also, they both have a "monster of the week" format for a while, and both main characters are technically high schoolers but you'll barely notice that.

Battle aura? Blowing up heads? Aw Hell yeah, time to roll with the punches and watch one of these classics of Shonen smackdown.

Throwing blows with colorful characters and forceful vengence. Outrageous outfits and fantastic over the top action.

Seriously, even at it's age Fist of the Northstar might just be a title you can watch while anxiously awaiting next week's episode of Stardust.  Consequently, if you saw Fist of the Northstar and said to yourself "man they just don't make beafy ripped dudes fighting eachother anymore, then look no further than Jojo.

Like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure , Fist of the North Star features burly, manly men fighing against equally buff villains. Both also happen to be quite cheesy (in a good way) and have a penchant for overdramatizing. Fans of Jojo will definitely like Hokuto no Ken.

Its the same, i mean like in both are muscled gay people beating up other , no less musculated/ gay people .

You could talk about the vampire theme being similar in both shows, but actually what is more similar is the general feel of the shows. Both have gorgeous animation, both are amazingly over the top, though Jojo doesn't take itself so seriously.

I honestly think that anyone who enjoyed one would enjoy the other, they are both brilliant shows.

HasseRovdjur HasseRovdjur says...

Both Hellsing Ultimate and JoJo focuses on battles between people wielding awesome powers, but there are other, much more important similiarities between these two titles than that.

Both have a heavy focus on action, good direction and great visuals, and an overblown and bombastic feel that permeates the show. The casts consist mainly of larger than life characters that never shy away from breaking out in monologues or hamtastic dialogues.

Honestly, both are great fun, and if you liked either of then, it's a safe bet that you'll like the other one.

Fairy gone

Fairy gone

Fairies possess and reside within animals, granting them special powers. By surgically removing and transplanting the organs of a possessed animal into a human, humans can partially summon the fairy and use it as a weapon. Eventually, such individuals were used for war, and were called "Fairy Soldiers." After a long war, these soldiers lost their purpose, and had to reintegrate into society. Nine years after the end of the war, Maria is a fresh recruit of "Dorothea," an organization dedicated to the investigation and suppression of fairy-related crimes and incidents. Even in peacetime, the government is still unstable after the war. Many criminals still have lingering wounds from the previous conflict, and there are terrorist groups bent on revenge.

Fairies (Fairy Gone) and Stands (JJBA) are very similar supernatural powers and are visual manifestation of the User's fighting spirit. Fairy Gone isn’t a Shonen like JJBA but both are action packed. You can tell that Fairy Gone although a different setting and period is inspired by JJBA.

Crua9 Crua9 says...

The other 2 basically said it all. Both used some supernatural spirit thing that comes out of their body that they can control  And each is different from one another

Forget for a moment that JJBA is a martial arts anime with horror undertones while TTGL is a mecha show. There are some qualities that both shows share, which has prompted me to make this recommendation. Fabulous animation, overtly masculine, great animation, a fun cast of characters, both heroes and villains, and pure unbribled awesome.

These are all things that both shows have, and if you liked one you should really try and watch the other show.

Both of these shows are the manliest animes you can come across. Now hold on a minute, I see you reading this wondering: "Has this guy gone cray? Has he finally lost it after watching anime over all those years? What could possibly be the link between a parody anime about bread and Jojo?" now let me explain... I have every possible reason to believe that if you are a Jojo fan, you will most definitely enjoy Yakitate!! Japan and vice versa. Now it's been quite a while since I've watched Yakitate!! Japan and I had no idea of the existence of Jojo at the time, but first thing that came to my mind while watching Jojo, especially the Stardust Crusader saga was that feeling I once had while watching Yakitate!! Japan. First of all, both series are Shounen (that's fair enough of a start, don't you think?) then, the Stand in Jojo have a similar impact in the anime than the reactions of the judge in each Arc of Yakitate (being it Kuroyanagi, Pierrot Bolneze, you name it...) Both series also have a very similar sense of humour who somehow doesn't make you drift away from the main storyline while adding a plus to the overall enjoyment value of the show. I could even add that the "travelling the world" aspect is present in both show, which is why I specifically recommend Stardust Crusader. They end up going to Europe in Yakitate; Jojo and friends end up travelling from Japan to Egypt to beat Dio Brando's ass with (may I say, a few) escales, you get where I'm going with this now are you? Yakitate even has that similar "Monster-of-the-Week" feel to it (minus the monster part) since there is this reccurent pattern of: contest, leading to cooking a new or existing variety of bread, leading to an epic reaction from the judge. Even the animation style, while being quite different in both show still has that similar epicness to it. Finally, if you've had the courage to read up to here without falling asleep (kudos to you!), go take a look at that anime will you, chances are you won't be disappointed.

Both anime feature over-the top violence, a core team of powerful travelers who face even more powerful enemies on their way to find something, Golden Kamuy being gold, JoJo being a vampire. Both have chemistry that continues building through the main characters. Both protagonists also have a sweet hat.
