After dying of overwork in the real world, I’m reincarnated as an immortal witch, and I spend 300 years enjoying a relaxing life. At some point, though, I end up at level 99! All those years spent killing slimes to make the money to pay the bills gave me a ton of experience points… Rumors of the level 99 witch spread, and soon I’m up to my ears in curious adventurers, duelist dragons, and even a monster girl calling me her mom! “This isn’t a dojo, so don’t come here to fight me…!” I’ve never been on an adventure, but I’m the strongest in the world… What’s going to happen to my relaxing life?!
This is basically a comedy where IMO a lot of jokes land flat. It does start out good, but after a few eposides in you might notice a similar pattern. Throw in a few random jokes, have the witch do something over power, and other girls trying to be her sister/daughter. Nearly every eposide is like this after a given point. IMO this is just lazy writing.
Honestly, this show is ok, I loved the fact that the MC is a female and overpowered, something you don't ever see, and that is what got me started to it. But I ended up dropping it at episode 6 because my petty self absolutly hates the crap out of Halkara. This character alone made it so aggrivating to watch and the show ends up being revolved around her instead of the MC and literally anyone else that provides better to the show then her. Aside from that, the show is not bad at all. The plot is ok, more on the heartwarming and sad attempt at comedy side, but still has plot. The animation is good, the movements are swift and smooth but sometimes when the quality goes down (like the very basic outline for comedic purposes) you can't even tell the difference between the MC and Halkara as they have the same hair, which is why under characters is it also pretty low. The opening is normal, nothing fancy, and no one would care if you skipped it. Overall, I liked it and would have kept going because its bright colors were entertaining, but due to the overall job of the show especially on how they played favourites on the big chesty elf that gives nothing to no one or the show and no actually good use of them in general aside from (Spoilers in the next sentence) bringing the MC and Beelzebub together, there is no real point. There isn't even any fanservice so she really isn't useful (I don't like fanservice but given on how much I dislike her for being useless, not even in a good way like Aqua or Sakura, the lack of any redeeming quality just sucks) Overal: Meh :/
In a nutshell Modern day, Japan. Azusa Aizawa is a salarywoman; she has completely forsaken everything that makes a life enjoyable: fun and love for her mean absolutely nothing. One day, she had to work fifty consecutive days and barely got any sleep. This, indeed, caused her a huge damage for her health, which resulted in her death. A moment later she noticed either an angel, or a God that took pity on her and promised her to fulfill any wish that she would have. Azusa asked for immortality that was a wish she was not thinking about, it was simply the first thing that came to her mind and she uttered it. The God agreed to fulfill her wish and after that Azusa found herself in a new world. And so her new life begins. Story Story wise, the anime hardly has anything new to offer. Azusa Aizawa had quite an unfortunate life. Thankfully, some God notices her and decides to reward her. Azusa gets teleported into a new world, where she is finally able to enjoy her life to the fullest. For 300 years, she does the same things over and over again: killing slimes that are near her home, making medicine for country people, enjoying food and just doing whatever she wants, when she wants. After 300 years, she does not even notice that it has been so long already. She gets her power measured and notices that she is now a max level witch. Of course, it is difficult to keep secrets in a village; everyone knows everything about each other. Therefore, the villagers find out about the power of the witch, so do other people, as well as some powerful creatures. The secret about Azusa’s power is no longer a secret and so she will not be able to enjoy her quiet life anymore. Characters Characters wise, While Killing Slimes for 300 Years, I Became the Max Level Unknowingly has lovely characters, where even supporting characters are very entertaining. Azusa Aizawa, being reborn as a witch, does not forget about her horrible previous life and always gets angry whenever her friends decide to overwork. She is a very caring person, which is the reason why so many people decide to follow her and want to be with her. Azusa aside, there are also many other interesting characters that will not leave you bored. Overall While Killing Slimes for 300 Years, I Became the Max Level Unknowingly is an isekai that does not have any epic fight scenes, or drama that will melt your heart. It is more of a heartwarming slice of life, with magic, demons, dragons and other monsters involved. It is actually a very good and relaxing anime, however, trying to watch it in one go might be somewhat boring, so take your time.
