In a world where the Demon King has died, a host of demigods capable of felling him have inherited the world. A master fencer who can figure out how to take out their opponent with a single glance; a lancer so swift they can break the sound barrier; a wyvern rogue who fights with three legendary weapons at once; an all-powerful wizard who can speak thoughts into being; an angelic assassin who deals instant death. Eager to attain the title of “One True Hero,” these champions each pursue challenges against formidable foes and spark conflicts themselves. The battle to determine the mightiest of the mighty begins.

Personally, this was not a bad watch for me, but I think it could improve in some areas. What I did like about the show was that characters felt flawed and sorta realistic, they're not the perfect goody two-shoes characters or the most heinous evil in their world, they all generally have questionable morality that leaves them in the gray area. You'll find some of the characters more interesting than others. I also like seeing how their abilities are pitted against one another, their powers are just absurdly overpowered in certain situations as well. Something I felt relatively neutral about, but can be an issue for other people that watched this, is that it's just exposition upon exposition upon exposition. If you're craving for that action that the trailers for this show been teasing you about, they're going to go by relatively quick. It is very heavy on dialogues, learning about the characters' backstories and how their abilities work, while also seeing how everyone is scheming against one another. This can get pretty confusing to follow. Characters generally feel mysterious, but maybe not in a good way? We don't really know much aside from their personaliites and their powers, and there are some story elements that sound good on paper, but when it came to the execution, it felt messily-written somehow when they're all combined together. It's also really hard to get to know characters because the viewpoint are often switched from one character to the next. It can be a bit overwhelming. Overall, sound quality I enjoyed the most. It's what attracted to me in watching this show from the trailers. Character personalities are alright, but I would've liked to see them more in action and/or get to know them more. Story could see some improvements, hopefully the 2nd season will cover it. Animation quality is so-so.
