Not a show I can binge watch all the time, I have to be in the mood for this one. It has a slow start, but as you get further into the show. The more interesting it will get. But it is really good, especially if you want something that focuses heavily on the characters. There are a lot of silly moments, as well as more serious and fairly messed up moments in this show. All of the characters went through a lot of hardships and are outcasts in a way but have managed to find their place and themselves on their journey. I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the main group. I loved following along with Sesshomaru and his group more then with Inuyasha and Kagome. It was just interesting to see the subtle changes in Sesshomaru overtime, especially once Rin appeared.

for most people that are fans of anime there is usually one show that gets them interested in japanese media. a show that they will follow until the very end a show that they can remember by heart for me that anime is inuyasha. I have been watching it since I was 9 years old but it wasn't the first anime I ever watched that would probably be dragon ball.

but it was the first anime that moved me. the first anime with a love story that I cared about. the story of inuyasha has to be one of the the greatest stories ever told. this is tributed to the fact that Rumiko Takahashi (the creator of inuyasha) based the story on many of Japan's legends myths and stories. it is this kind of storytelling that is absent from most anime.

everything from the art to the story to the sounds is well done. were most anime have themes ranging from horror to syfy to downright confusing. inuyasha has a story in a league of its own. perhaps the two most important things that lead to the success of inuyasha is the action and romance of the story.

most of the people i talk to that have heard of inuyasha but not seen it
all seem to think that it is only a love story although it is action is a huge part of the show it is in my opinion inuyasha has the best sword battles
of any anime. the story of inuyasha and his sword tessaiga is second only
to the legend of king arthur and Excalibur.

although action is a big part of the show it is still the romance that gets people talking whether it's the love triangle between inuyasha kikyo and kagome or the complicated relationship between sango and miroku.

on one last note the most important thing about the show is the characters
this show has the best character development of any anime each one has a dark past often including the death of a loved one making for a good story.

overall inuyasha in my opinion is one of the best anime ever made I know most people will dispute that but I have yet to find another anime with the same level whether its the story or the character development.

well that's my review if you like it check out my profile and drop a comment.

I will admit this series has sooo many pointless episodes and random battles. kinda like with Naruto. But the actuall story to this is a great one. Its full of adventure, action, and even a little romance. I also liked the fact that every couple episodes the took a break and went back to kagome's time. This is were things get more into a teenage high school anime, but still it mixes things up. This series will have you wanting more and more and can get quite addicting. You might even find yourself having a crush on of the main characters(Inuyasha for me)

give this show a try, if your not in love by the first 10 episodes then your crazy.

this is deffenatly one of my top favorites

As always, I am going to cut to the bone with my review.

Inuyasha at its best is an Epic tale that Follows Inuyasha and his companions across an epic journey in search of shards of the Shikon jewel, or the Jewel of Four souls. During which the crew encounters any number of interesting charcters from Japanese folk lore or directly from the the Shinto mythology. The story progresses well for a while, charcters get good developlement and each have rich back stories that are worth telling.  Inuyasha does an excellent job of Balancing a serious story line with good mx of comic releive and interesting side stories that the crew encounters in their journey.

-BUT-

Towards the end progess in the main story starts to bog down, The series starts to become drawn out and even a bit silly ( taking into account the tempo the rest of the anime set). With this in mind it starts to really damage the story and the fact that they broke the end of the series into a seperate series ( Inuyasha: The final act) is a bit annoying.  How ever despite this, I wouldn't go so far as to say the Anime falls apart ... Rather the Anime has a short time where it seems to forget which direction it was going.

Inuyasha is an anime that I enjoyed at the end of it all, it was worth watching and I recommend it to anyoe interested in it  but who perhaps missed it when it was airing on Toonami/ Adult swim.

Title: InuYasha by Sunrise - A Timeless Classic in the World of Anime

Story (8/10): "InuYasha" is a classic in the anime world, and its story is a major reason why. The narrative blends elements of fantasy, romance, action, and adventure seamlessly. It follows the journey of Kagome, a modern-day high school girl who finds herself transported to the Sengoku period, where she meets the half-demon InuYasha. Together, they embark on a quest to collect the shards of the Shikon Jewel. The story is well-paced, with a balance of episodic adventures and overarching plotlines. While it has moments of filler episodes, the manga/novel offers a more streamlined version of the story.

Animation (7/10): Given its release in the early 2000s, "InuYasha" exhibits animation quality typical of that era. The character designs are distinctive and memorable, and the action sequences are well-animated. The artwork successfully captures the mood of the feudal era and the magical elements within the story. However, there are occasional instances of reused animation and less detail in some scenes compared to modern anime.

Sound (7/10): The soundtrack of "InuYasha" complements the series effectively. It features a mix of traditional Japanese instruments and contemporary music that enhances the feudal atmosphere. The opening and ending themes are iconic and instantly recognizable to fans. Voice acting is solid, with the cast bringing the characters to life convincingly.

Characters (8/10): The characters in "InuYasha" are a highlight of the series. They are diverse, multifaceted, and undergo significant development over the course of the story. Kagome and InuYasha's evolving relationship is a central focus, and it's heartwarming to watch their growth. The supporting characters, such as Sango, Miroku, and Shippo, are equally engaging and contribute to the ensemble cast's depth. The manga/novel provides additional insights into the characters' backgrounds and motivations, further enriching their arcs.

Overall (7/10): "InuYasha" by Sunrise is a timeless classic in the anime world, known for its captivating story, memorable characters, and evocative soundtrack. While it may show its age in terms of animation quality, the overall experience remains highly enjoyable. Exploring the manga/novel adaptation can provide a more comprehensive and streamlined version of the story. My overall score for the anime is 7/10, reflecting its enduring appeal and lasting impact on the medium.
