Inuyasha is yet another masterpiece brought to us by Rumiko Takahashi. It presents us with action, romance, character depth and a feeling that can't be beat. It is utterly amazing.     The main cast of InuYasha (from left to right: InuYasha, Kagome, Shippou, Miroku, Sango)

The story is based around Kagome Higurashi, a high school girl that lives in Tokyo with her brother, grandfather and mother. One day, while trying to rescue her cat, she falls into a well in one of her family's shrines. She is then magically transported to the feudal era of Japan, where she meets a half-demon named InuYasha. InuYasha seeks the power of a powerful treasure known as the Shikon Jewel, or the "Jewel of Four Souls" to make him become a full-fledged demon.

After a few mishaps, the Shikon Jewel is b</script> <script src="../../../../js/tiny_mce/plugins/webmedia/langs/en.js" type="text/javascript"></script> roken into many pieces and scattered everywhere in the region. It is then up to Kagome, InuYasha and many other interesting characters (such as Shippou the fox, Miroku the bachelor monk and Sango the giant-boomerang-tossing demon-slayer) to find the scattered pieces of the Jewel, and develop bonds with themselves. The story goes by very smoothly, and you will very quickly feel love towards the characters.

As far as music goes, this anime is perfect for the traditionalist. It plays very beautiful and classic Japanese instrumentals throughout every episode. If you're like me, and love Japanese culture, the audio will shoot nostalgia up through your veins.

Together the interesting story and lovable characters make this a great watch, but my absolute favourite part would definitely be the Japanese-ness. InuYasha brings all those great things about old-time Japan, like the detailed shrines, the elegant clothing, the soft instrumentals, and the beautiful landscapes, into the picture. This may seem like just an add-on, but it really makes watching this anime even more enjoyable.

All in all, InuYasha is perfect for classic anime lovers. It brings all the best things about a good anime, like interesting and humorous dialogue, characters you can relate to and a beautiful soundtrack, and adds many little things to increase your enjoyment that much more. If you're looking for an anime that will tickle that nostalgia bug, InuYasha is an excellent choice.

"InuYasha....SIT BOY "

Where to begin lol... InuYasha was my childhood it's the anime that launched me into an endless relashionship with anime.

I find that the storyline is very unique and well thought of because there was not so much place to complain about fillers or lost of time. It's an anime that you would sit hours upon hours and sacrifice precious sleep time to watch. At the start of the serie I wasn't to sure on how I would like it down the line because it seemed so basic but after fighting with myself I decided to shut the hell up and watch at least a few episodes before passing jugement on it.

Today I'm thanking my beautiful concience for not giving up, because its thanks to InuYasha that my geeky inner me fell in love with the world of Anime.

Each character in this serie is well put together and even though the story revolves arround Kagome and InuYasha, the other characters aren't over shadowed by them. Each one of them has a unique background story which is very compelling and even though Naraku sometimes drives me bonkers it was awesome finding out everything about him lol.

I'll admit it, I have watched this series multiple times and each time I decide to do a marathon of InuYasha, its like I fall inlove with it all over again <3. The humor and sarcasm is just wicked!

Towards the last episodes of the series, I grew wary that it might end in a very bad note...I can't say I was personaly fond of the ending, I didn't dislike it as much as I thought. (You can picture my surprise when I found out they where making an addional arc, much later!!!)

Well, as much as I can spend all day writing about it I prefer to let you judge by yourselves if its as worthy as I make it sound like muahaha...

I swear, inuyasha is my all-time favorite anime. I did NOT start from the first episode at first, but I watched the whole thing later. At first, the animations weren't that good, but they soon got better and better as the story went on. The characters are funny, awesome, and sometimes strait out stupid, but that just makes it better. The best part about it is how random it is. Even a flash light made me crack up.

Story:

The story is interesting, and cool. The whole thing is super addictive, and really epic too. Advice to those of you who haven't seen it, it gets better. Thats pretty much all I have to say here...

Animation:

Okay so I'm used to cutesy stuff, and at first I thought the drawing was okay. Like i've said a million times, it gets better. The movement is great though, and I really like the characters. So, basicly it gets from kinda crappy to AWESOME!

Sound:

I remember a time when the sound and movement didn't match up and it confused the heck out of me. Other than that the sound is PERFECT english and Japanese.

Characters:

Yes! the part I've been waiting for! Each and every character has their own personality, and their all pretty awesome. Just some silly comments on the characters. (might be a spoiler)

Inuyasha: The best hot-headed jerk ever known to mankind :D

Miroku: Every anime's gotta have a pervert!

Sesshomaru: The fluffiest demon in the world.

Kagome: A school girl priestess who's awesome.

Sango: Perverted Monk Exterminator.

Naraku: The evil guy dressed up like a baboon.

I hope at least some of this was helpful, or maybe funny. Thanks for reading!

As always, I am going to cut to the bone with my review.

Inuyasha at its best is an Epic tale that Follows Inuyasha and his companions across an epic journey in search of shards of the Shikon jewel, or the Jewel of Four souls. During which the crew encounters any number of interesting charcters from Japanese folk lore or directly from the the Shinto mythology. The story progresses well for a while, charcters get good developlement and each have rich back stories that are worth telling.  Inuyasha does an excellent job of Balancing a serious story line with good mx of comic releive and interesting side stories that the crew encounters in their journey.

-BUT-

Towards the end progess in the main story starts to bog down, The series starts to become drawn out and even a bit silly ( taking into account the tempo the rest of the anime set). With this in mind it starts to really damage the story and the fact that they broke the end of the series into a seperate series ( Inuyasha: The final act) is a bit annoying.  How ever despite this, I wouldn't go so far as to say the Anime falls apart ... Rather the Anime has a short time where it seems to forget which direction it was going.

Inuyasha is an anime that I enjoyed at the end of it all, it was worth watching and I recommend it to anyoe interested in it  but who perhaps missed it when it was airing on Toonami/ Adult swim.

for most people that are fans of anime there is usually one show that gets them interested in japanese media. a show that they will follow until the very end a show that they can remember by heart for me that anime is inuyasha. I have been watching it since I was 9 years old but it wasn't the first anime I ever watched that would probably be dragon ball.

but it was the first anime that moved me. the first anime with a love story that I cared about. the story of inuyasha has to be one of the the greatest stories ever told. this is tributed to the fact that Rumiko Takahashi (the creator of inuyasha) based the story on many of Japan's legends myths and stories. it is this kind of storytelling that is absent from most anime.

everything from the art to the story to the sounds is well done. were most anime have themes ranging from horror to syfy to downright confusing. inuyasha has a story in a league of its own. perhaps the two most important things that lead to the success of inuyasha is the action and romance of the story.

most of the people i talk to that have heard of inuyasha but not seen it
all seem to think that it is only a love story although it is action is a huge part of the show it is in my opinion inuyasha has the best sword battles
of any anime. the story of inuyasha and his sword tessaiga is second only
to the legend of king arthur and Excalibur.

although action is a big part of the show it is still the romance that gets people talking whether it's the love triangle between inuyasha kikyo and kagome or the complicated relationship between sango and miroku.

on one last note the most important thing about the show is the characters
this show has the best character development of any anime each one has a dark past often including the death of a loved one making for a good story.

overall inuyasha in my opinion is one of the best anime ever made I know most people will dispute that but I have yet to find another anime with the same level whether its the story or the character development.

well that's my review if you like it check out my profile and drop a comment.
