For novice street racer Iketani, the thrill of downhill racing is nothing compared to the rush of a chance to meet his former sweetheart and Sil-Eighty driver, Mako. Wanting to apologize for his actions when they were last together, the two agree to get together to talk. However, arriving two hours early, Iketani’s good nature gets the better of him and he helps a stranded old man by driving him across the island. Will he make it back in time for Mako, or are they fated to drift apart once again?
I love Initial D. But it really pains me that they are so cruel when it comes to relationships. The Extra stage 2 deals with Iketani and his feelings for Mako. I don't think it's very important for the storyline, however its a nice sidestory and it will probably give you feels. If you like Initial D I highly recommend this stage which is rather refreshing cause the focus doesn't lie within racing this time.
