KnoxLocke KnoxLocke says...

Both anime focus on an individual who has been reincarnated into their favorite Otome Game... as the main villainess! They then spend their time attempting to avoid the impending death/suffering they know awaits them if they follow the main route of the game's story.

TheCautionBandi TheCautionBandi says...

The villainess otome game genre grows! If you're a fan of either show you should definitely try out the other!

Max4444 Max4444 says...

Both anime are about a girl dying and getting reincarnated as the villain in their favourite otome game, and she has to figure out a way to not get killed. Even the way they remember their past life is similar.

My Next Life as a Villainess feels more comedic overall, Taming the Final Boss also has a lot of comedic moments but it also has more serious moments. The main characters are quite different, for starters, Aileen is more capable than Catarina. It also seems like Aileen will need to put effort into getting her goals, unlike Catarina who just happens to achieve what she wants by being a nice person.

featherstone featherstone says...

Very similar characters, plot, otome game world. Taming the last boss focuses more on fantasy aspect.

Littlesilverwolf Littlesilverwolf says...

Both reincarnated into isekai world with sword and magic as villainess. Both did not have dark story, just cheerful and villainess that play the unpredicted action card evrytime.

Beth0410 Beth0410 says...

Both animes have reincarnation of the mc becoming the villainess and trying to make sure they survive and have a better life then from the games they loved playing.

FIREEEE FIREEEE says...

Noble women who know how the future can potentially play out from a game played in a previous life. Both attempt to steer the future into the right paths with romance involved.

noyako noyako says...

Both FL got isekaid and are trying to flee from their death flags. In I'm the villainess, the FL seduces the guy who is supposed to be the villain. In My Nex Life as a Villainess, the FL ends seducing all the characters -including the girls- without even noticing it herself. Expect comedy on both.

Astelia Astelia says...

I have to admit, "Reincarnated as a Villainess" has become my favorite trope in the past few months. And all of the series I've watched so far have been either decent or good, so I'd recomment them all, including these two. It's really nice to see female characters with actual personalities in anime.

Lena518 Lena518 says...

The both have similar stories and animations with clueless character, that don't realise things because of their naivety

WarriorGirl1 WarriorGirl1 says...

They are both stories of villainesses that are trying to avoid their death flags. There are many twists and truns in their stories. The art style is also very simular, so if you like one you will most likely like the other.

Toneva Toneva says...

both are placed in the role of someone they know is going to die, and neither is willing to let that happen, they use there knowledge of the world and events to come to figure out how to make their current future not happen.

Nandasan93 Nandasan93 says...

I mean, if you like villainess-reincarnation stories and haven't watched both of these, what have you been doing? Let's go!!! And whenever "Beware the Villainess" becomes an anime, it'll be included here as well, but for now you can just read the webcomic.

Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion

Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion

Poisoned to death by her own betrothed?! Eunha didn’t wake up in a novel’s story just to get killed off again as an unfortunate extra! To change her story she needs a cover… 6 months pretending to be the fake fiancée of the novel's male protagonist, Duke Noah Wynknight. But will this cold-hearted, angel-faced demon of a man really help her avoid another ill-fated ending?!

both good

Both are reincarnated into another world based off their favorite game/novel. They both have to try to change the story so that they can survive and goes about getting the help of the male lead to do so.

Littlesilverwolf Littlesilverwolf says...

Both anime with main heroine in a world trying to become partner with the boss to save herself, which in the end fall in love instead of mere contact relationship

Astelia Astelia says...

These Reincarnated as a Villainess stories are my new obsession. Well, technically, Raeliana isn't a villain, but the main concept is the same. A character is reincarnated into a book or game from their previous lives. And they are destined to die unless they find a way to change the plot.

keiqi keiqi says...

both super cute love stories where mc gets isekaid and falls in love with the super powerful dark haired guy that seems mysterious at first but is actually head over heels and always saving mc. great for the romance starved like myself ˇ_ˇ

Gives off the same soft romance that easily develops and excellent for simplicity of being able to follow the story, from the females POV

Icecreamsnowy Icecreamsnowy says...

Both have historical genre (when there was royalty/nobility) aspects and both are romance so they are alike you could say.." I'm the villainess so I'm taming the final boss" is isekaied into game and the other is historical romance staright up (no isekai) so yes It has similarties :D

Honestly both of these are soo similar that at some point I was wondering whether or not I'm watching the same anime twice. SO if u like either of them to the point where u just need to watch it again with different characters I gotchu.

If you're a fan of isekai transmigration stories in which the main character knows they'll die and tries to fight that destiny, these two shows will keep you entertained.

The plot in both also develops extremely quickly, to be honest.
