If you're looking for anime similar to I’m Quitting Heroing, you might like these titles.
Every human inhabiting the world of Alcia is branded by a “Count” or a number written on their body. Depending on how each person lives their life, this Count either goes up or down. For Hina’s mother, her total drops to 0 and she’s pulled into the Abyss, never to be seen again. But her mother’s last words send Hina on a quest to find a legendary hero from the Waste War—the fabled Ace!
Similar tragic protagonist. They both are artifically made and have killed many people to protect their own, although they both regretted it
very similar with strong main character that was made to fight and even both in a world in the future
Funny yet meaningful adaptation on the manga this anime will leave you with a smile and a yearning for more.
Both are non-isekai fantasy shows about an absurdly overpowered main character with a classic dark and troubled past masked behind a fairly snarky and comedic personality.
As a result, they're both "moody" series which alternate lighthearted adventure and darkish drama. The story beats are also eerily similar, but I won't go into detail in order to avoid spoilers.
Plunderer has a bit more fanservice, and honestly much worse animation quality, but if you're into it for the fantasy and are tired of stereotypical "trapped into another world" premises, you might like both of these.
After many trials, the Hero has reached his destination: the throne room of the Demon King, where he hopes to end the war between the Demon and Human realms once and for all. What he finds, however, is not at all what he expected: the 'king' of the Demons is a woman, and a bouncy one at that - what's more, rather than fighting, she wishes to engage him in dialogue! She explains that he was never expected to succeed in his mission, because the war is perpetuated by parties in the human world who profit from it every day. Swayed by her arguments, he makes a pact with her to work toward peace for both their worlds. Together, they will better the lives of their people and create a world where war is no longer needed to ensure prosperity - despite those who would shed blood to keep the status quo.
Both feature a hero who beats the demon lord then joins that side. After joining the demons, he helps with administration of territories.
Both have strong character and hero switch the side. While in MAOYU the demon lord try her best to persuade him ( the hero ), in I am quitting heroing he tries to gain trust of the deamon lord ( main character on other side ) by slowing gaining trust of her team.
Both anime had a same concept... Where OP-MC quite being a hero and restine from show off his bada** atittude and enrolled the demon army to errand demon queen.. well both are more like WorkLife and Action Fantasy.
Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme. Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King, but the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit!
Very similar plot ideas of "good demon lords" and "bad heroes" but from different points of view: Quitting Heroing from perspective of a hero and a bit more mature standpoing; Misfit - from perspective of demon lord with a lot more childish/edgy (but it aint that bad) moments
both are stories that end up in demon lord and hero becoming friends, in both the mc is op and actually both mcs are from different age than the world the anime shows is (for misfit of demon king academy that is 2000years )

Funny characters and quicky paced story plot but too quick making impossible to grasp understanding of the whole plot line of the animes.
