Both animes are about male idols beginning their careers and trying to make it big in the music world and both of them have upbeat and catchy songs that make you want to listen to them over and over again. Both of them do have their problems but they work them out in the end and also both have female managers. If you like upbeat and catchy songs then both of these animes are for you.

Both animes are about a group of boys trying to make it as a group of idols. Both are really good in my opioion. Emsemble Stars is a anime about a group of four boys trying to become idols while also having to deal with the messed up student council. Idolish7 is about a group of 7 boys trying to become a good idol group, all having their own reasons, and lots of problems come in the way, cant really say more without spoilors.

Both of these anime are about a group of male idols beginning their carrers. They also share a similar tone (somewhat realistic look at idol showbiz). If you like male idols, you'll enjoy both of these.

Just trust me on this one. IDOLiSH7 is basically a sports anime with singing, and the exact same kind of sports anime as Free!: boys forming a team and working to reach their goals while also working through their personal issues (one of which involves one of their rivals who won't even have a normal conversation with them). Oh yeah, and let's throw in a bit of ship baiting for good measure.

Both of these idol shows are VERY similar. They are both about a large cast of guys looking to become pop idols, and their journey of learning and industry hardships. They're a semi-realistic look at the idol industry, but with an overall lighthearted tone. I think if you'd like one, you'd really enjoy the other.

Both series are about male idols and focuses on bromance instead of romance.

There is humor, drama (it can actually get quite dark), great music, pretty boys, and many touching moments that make these shows have a similar appeal to each other.
